Lol. I can’t stop laughing at the title, especially weird for an ancient series no less! Bloody Romance (媚者无疆) is adapted from the novel written by Ban Ming Ban Mei and stars Li Yi Tong, Qu Chu Xiao, and Puff Kuo. And why is it bloody? Cause our heroine is sold to a brothel at the tender age of 16 where she’s tortured, assaulted, and treated like crap until she’s rescued and sent to a mysterious place. There she’s trained to become a top assassin!

In the beginning, the title made me think of “dog blood” romances, like the kind by China’s stepmother 😂

Sounds like a campy slasher.

Is it me but does Li Yi Tong looks somewhat different..she is the same girl in LOCH right…I thought she had this distinctive sweet look then but now I can’t really differentiate her much from all other pretty actresses..maybe it’s the styling…

I wonder why puff has no project in tw ent, i guess she wants to focus on her mainland activities. She used to be one of the popular actresses in tw. But this past years, it’s hard to see her. I used to think that she had problems with her management cuz seems like they ‘kill’ her career. But good thing, she comes back with C drama. Good luck then.
Btw i wonder why some popular tw actors got 2nd lead characters in cdramas, while for thai or korean actors, they easily got lead character despite the language barrier. Are thai or kr actors more popular than tw ones?

I think popular Korean actors with an established fan base in China get lead roles, since thy are responsible for the “korean wave” as in they partake in spreading Korean culture in Asia. They are different from the Korean actors who were not very known in their country and had to build up their careers in China, like Choo Ja-hyun and Hong Su-ah.

I was wondering about Puff too. Good to see her active again. She’s so pretty and a good actress.
