Well, can you believe it’s been 3 years since The Lost Tomb 1 aired? Cast changes was announced a long time ago and the leading men are the new faces we have been seeing onscreen in last year’s numerous projects. Neo Hou Ming Hao (Cambrian Period) will play Wu Xie, and Cheng Yi (The Legend of Chusen) will play Zhang Qi Ling, and actress Li Man (War and Peace) will play A’Ning. The Lost Tomb 2 will focus on two chapters, Nu Hai Qian Sha and Qin Ling Shen Shu., which I don’t know what they are about yet. Lol. Anyone?

Finally !!!!! i was turning into a mummy waiting for this news pfui…..
but….. didn’t Li Yi Feng signed a contract for 8 seasons when he was cast saying it was an amazing project o_O why isn’t he in it anymore…..
anyway the new cast seems good, visually speaking i don’t remember watching them in any of my drama

Agree with you guys. I’ve been waiting for the series to start again and finally it’s rolling. But why did all the cast changed?I was hoping that LYF still be the main leads. What happened with 8 years that he signed? I saw Cheng yi as Lin Jing Yu,and I think he’s not bad. I guess I prefer the cast from the lost tomb 1, but I think we should give the new cast a chance to prove themself.. Hopefully it won’t be disappointing.

While I like the previous cast a lot, this cast looks great! The only thing I am worried about is the script script script script script!!!! That’s the most important part, look at how Lost Tomb 1 became!!!
But I am glad they picked up from Lost Tomb 1, moving on to the 2nd and 3rd books. Its been like 2 years since I finished dmbj so everything is hazy, needa pick them up again haha!

Ah, it’s the books 2 (Angry Sea, Hidden Sands) and 3 (Bronze Tree of Death) of the series. My recollection of the plots are are a bit hazy, as it’s been while since I read them, heh. But…ThingsAsian Press’ site https://www.thingsasianpress.com/grave-robbers-chronicles/ has a synopsis of all 6 translated works, in case anyone wants to take a peek. 🙂 Of course, how closely the drama will follow the original stories is anyone’s guess.

Thanks for the link!!! Now my memories are coming back haha! I remember I was really really spooked out by the 2nd and 3rd book because of the twist and turns, and the creatures. It actually scared me a little while I was reading lol lol.
I hope the drama does the book justice althought that rarely happens. I hope they make it scary and spooky at least.

Honestly, I didn’t quite care about the first cast enough to mind the change in cast for season 2. I REALLY hope this one is close to the novel plot tho, because I got SO into Lost Tomb senior yr of high school – literally it was THE series that got me into chinese audiobook cuz I couldn’t find good, continuing translations. I only dropped it partway through book 2 because the original narrator stopped and I couldn’t get into the other versions.

Hooray!!!!! Finally, it feels like forever since the first season came out! I guess we all kinda expected the change in cast (what with the whole YY thingy back then) but I still really loved the first cast and LYF and YY had such great chemistry. The new cast looks promising though and yes, I hope they give us a better script this time. The books were sooooooooooooo good!
