What do you mean by “explain it” ?

I love the Taiwanese version. It was so intense and full of sexual tension. Cannot imagine any version that can top it.

On the negative side the lead is no Barbie Tsu in the looks or acting department. On the positive side at least these guys are good-looking. The men in the Taiwanese version were hideous and unappealing.

Really, I cannot imagine anyone describing Huang Xiaoming as hideous and unappealing. sound rather rude…. Angelababy will not agree he is such.

Peter Ho is magnificent! how can you say he looks hideous!!??? Someone needs better glasses or new sets of eyes.

I am a more fond of Peter too. I find the comment of them hideous and unappealing really upsetting and rude.

@hohliu @maria: That’s my opinion and I’m sticking to it.They are celebrities and their acting and appearance are fair game same as any famous figure on this site and elsewhere everyday. The are both grown men who know the deal and I’m sure they are not crying into their millions about it! Frankly, I’m not sure how you can survive on the internet if you get this upset about someone insulting the looks of a stranger who doesn’t know you exist.

I’m not asking you to agree with me so no need to be rude saying I need new glasses or eyes. I don’t agree with you that they were attractive but I allow you to have your own opinion without resulting to cheap personal insults.

So others saying you need glasses or eyes is a “cheap personal insults”… But you call the two fine extremely hardworking and popular actors “hideous” is not cheap personal insults? In fact it has gone below the belt.
You are entitled to your opinion, but to use extremely rude and nasty word to describe anyone is uncalled for.
If you are too sensitive to accept a comment from others needing to teach you basic respect and manner. You clearly cannot survive online. As your comments are words used by cyber bullys. And it is a disgrace and demeaning.
You dont need glasses but you need a big lesson on how not be rude and nasty online. Even the two stars are good actors that does not deserve to be called “hideous”

Having read the book and watched the Tawainese version I am dissapointed by the cast physically. Almost as much as I was with the movie version.

    1. Xia Mo is not on beautiful she is extremely cold and reserved, her face is emotionless most of the time, only ever really smiling for her little brother. New actress does not give off this feeling, I hope the script doesn’t change her character too much.

    2. Ou Chen is very tall and aristocrat since he is half European and has ties to royal blood though not of pure decendent. He is also said to be extrememly cold to eveyone that is not Xia Mo, he barely interacts with anyone else and is extremely possessive of her. The new actor, loved him in Chusen, really lacks the commanding build that the character is suppose to have.

    3. Luo Xi was suppose to look like a superstar, he had a very angelic look that bellied his dark heart, he was overly confident on the outside but is really very insecure on the inside. The new actor really does not have the superstar look, I didn’t really like Huang Xiao Ming but he really was very actractive and cocky which fitted the character.

That aside, good acting will always trump miscasting…to a certain point. Hope this is worth my time

I’ll probably get hated there, but I think Zhang Xue Ying’s Xia Mo looks better than Barbie’s : Barbie had an awesome presence in Summer’s Desire, but she was too cold, she lacked some passion that is needed for a girl in love : I can feel that with Xue Ying (I mean, come on, when she says « I give it back to you ! », she’s full of passion and feeling, it’s awesome)
