A proper trailer is released and we see Huang Zi Tao exploding with the air of a pompous singer while having the most adorable assistant to put him in his place, played by the lovely Janice Wu Qian. Tao plays an arrogant, unruly idol singer who’s hard to manage and Janice plays his assistant, and it’s her mission to transform his unmanageable personality, correcting his shortcomings and making him a true star.

I’m really interested in this one since he is planning to make into a musical drama.
I’m a bit disappointed with this trailer as it doesn’t tell much about the characters and the story, but maybe they don’t want to reveal much as it doesn’t have an airdate yet. We’ll see how it turns out.

Are you confusing with Kris and Luhan? This is the settlement they reached with SM. Tao has no such settlement with SM, Tao’s team is only willing to give a lump sum settlement, for his contract annulment and his training, SM disagreed and asked for % therefore the lawsuits went to court and Tao has won his contract cases in China and the judgment was final there too. Chinese courts judged SM’s management rights and ownership of his image and name invalid. SM only won in Korea, the thing is Tao promotes in China only, SM has no way to enforce the South Korean court judgment in China, since Chinese courts don’t recognize they contract as valid. Tao remains unaffected. He has no need to promote in SK.

Typical story but glad that tao acts with someone similar to his age. The sub will be fast since we have tao here. Gonna give it a try. One episode or two wont hurt.

Out of the 5 dramas that Tao filmed this is the one I’m looking forward to the most, no expense was spared the sets look amazing, looks glamorous, I’m looking forward to all the new music.I like his music.
Well it’s a tie with Yang Shi Fan I’m looking forward to Yang Shi Fan too where he plays the tortured warrior prince Ching Liming Tao is good at dark drama, he was good in the movies Edge of Innocence and Game Changer.

This reminds me of the Taiwanese romance novels I used to read as a teen. Super star and his assistant. Don’t care for the theme anymore but there’s Janice and Niu Jun Feng. I can’t wait for the day NJF gets a lead role in his own drama tbh.

This looks like a fun and easy to watch drama….Moreover, Janice Wu Qian somehow “fits” him better than Yang Mi…I just couldn´t see any chemistry between them in Negotiator.
I just hope that this drama won´t have too much unnecessary drama and drama cliches.
