This is Vic but the veil and everything had me cracking up for five minutes. LOL.

I’m a little upset Dilraba has poor hair styling in here! The other ladies are styled prettier! The story focuses on a lively and passionate Ru Ge (Dilraba), heir to a big estate, and her entangled love with three men in her life. Lol. One enters a life of immortality just for the chance of meeting her again, yet he’s cursed with an unrequited love forever (Xue – Vic Zhou). Another is a gentle, loving, crippled man who eventually loses most of his senses (Yu – Liu Rui Lin). Lastly is an arrogant man who is her first love and also the one to break her heart (Feng – Zhang Bin Bin).

Dilraba and Zhang Bin Bin are turning into Tang Yan and Luo Jin for me. They’ve worked together so many times and are very good friends, yet in their dramas…give them a proper happy ending please. Lol.

Vic is a mediocre actor and looks like a creepy uncle in this drama. Dilireba is a weak actress outside her romantic comedy comfort zone.

I would only watch this for handsome and talented Zhang BinBin but it looks like he’s unfortunately playing another thankless 2nd lead with a miserable ending.
Dai Si’s character looks cool but I don’t think she will get enough screen time to bother watching.

Yes. Dilreba is good in rom com. Hope her performance is better than TKW, but I’m getting the same vibe. 😬

Agree that Vic looks weird in this. I thought it was just the stills but yeah in motion…something is quite off.

You nailed it on Vic lmfao I like the song in the video, but honestly watching them in action I can’t bring myself to watch the drama…

The different colors costumes are distracting.

ZBB isn’t really charming me over, he was one note expression in 3310, (serious pouty face = sad = good acting? Suuure!). I watched like 10mins of TKW and realised it’ll be following the footsteps of legend of Qin, which I want to love, but it’s a massive disappointment in term of hype, plot wise and pace. But seeing how ZBB still pout his face, I don’t think I miss much, ive seen enough mv of tkw, ty. I know he has big lips but he pout a bit and seem to have way too much lipstick on 😑

So far, I like TFD, it’s quite different from whatever has been released the last decade! Vic’s character is very interesting and is set for heartbreak, I know a lot of ppl find him gay looking or weird, but he’s an immortal after all. He lives long enough that I swear if he doesn’t mess with ppl, he wouldn’t stay sane 😂! Like he’s top beauty in the ladyhouse, n stay top of the rank, one would wonder how he manages it 😂 acting wise, I have just seen his go Lala go movie, and love his “suffer in silence” character there. So I know he has the acting chop. There’s a lot of potentials and I love the chemistry between vic and dilraba!

I know vic won’t get the girl, but that’s why I’m watching this! His cheeky character is so much fun, but he doesn’t portray it like a kid, he portrays like a living 1000yrs old person would, grounded but cheeky! One thing I have to complain is the pace, when it doesn’t involve Ru Ge and Xue, it seems we focus on little pep talk between every minor support characters which makes it sooooo draggy! Less of that would be perfect!

I haven’t seen this yet but the comments other people have left so far aren’t encouraging… I read somewhere that this was the same production company as Ten Miles of Peach Blossoms, but Vic Chou doesn’t have half the acting chops of Mark Chao (which was a big drama back in 2009 with their one drama together, Black & White, when Mark Chao won the Golden Bell award over Vic and Vic essentially threw a fit).

The few scenes of the novel itself that I’ve seen make Vic Chou’s character sound super immature and whiny – though they were THE favorite scenes from the translator, which made me go ??? after reading it. Apparently the author made the novel very open ended so that fans of whichever shipping will still be satisfied. (IDK, I’m more of the commitment type person – which is why I still love TMPB so much – so the fact that it’s open to interpretation will probably make me dislike it more than if she just picked someone clearly.). I think Zai Zai is just a bit too old for these kinds of roles, especially starring opposite young looking actors and actresses. I might still watch this for ZBB but TKW nearly killed me with its 50 million flashbacks, so I’m a bit traumatized from seeing his expressions 5 times in a row. There was that one episode of TKW where they played a flashback to a scene that literally happened IN THAT SAME EPISODE. And I liked the songs, until I heard them 50 million times with the flashbacks, lol.
