Based on the novel written by Xin Yi Wu, Han Dong Jun and Yang Zi Shan are the leads for Never Gone (So You’re Still Here) drama version. You might recall the movie version with Kris Wu and Liu Yi Fei last year, about a pair of deeply in love young adults who were torn apart by social status and financial differences, yet their hearts remain with each other for years and the heroine finally decides to pursue the man she chased away. Separation-at-youth-and-meet-again seems to be the prevailing trend in dramas…. It’s been done to death. Lol.

Han Dong Jun looks so good in all the stills. Not familiar with the actress but she’s quite cute, curious to see how she will transform when her character changes when she becomes an adult. I read the novel translation and quite like it. So, I won’t mind watching this prevalent theme if done right. Movie adaption is pretty bad, I don’t enjoy Kris and Liu Yi Fei acting in there. Hopefully writers don’t butcher the novel much. Seeing 3L3W directors, I am expecting some good directing.
Kappy – do you know if filming has ended? I am so looking forward to it, hope it has an air date soon either TV stations or online…

It’s tried and true trope but I think if it’s well acted and executed and if the couple have great chemistry it works.
I’m watching and loving “Where the Lost Ones Go” (可惜不是你) which has the same type of separated in youth and meet again story and the director and writer are making use of some really interesting shooting and storytelling techniques and the lead couple are wonderful.

I was debating whether to check that drama out! It sounded so cliche from the synopsis but it’s not?

@Jess: I would definitely recommend it. The storyline is a tad cliched but the acting, directing and writing, music and cinematography totally elevate the story. It is bit slow at first but it’s worth sticking with. It’s a lot more contemplative and darker than most recent dramas and it shifts back and forth between the past and the present. Even though it’s “only” a web drama it is impressively ambitious in terms of visual storytelling than I’ve seen from romance CDramas. The acting is very good and the main couple are excellent and have great chemistry together.
@Banu: There are English subs on YouTube! That’s how i am watching it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v6EOwfeYvgs

I read the book 2 years ago, I’m looking forward to how the story gets interpreted and portrayed. Considering the directors working on this, I also have high expectations.

I’m excited to see this! I have yet to watch the film adaptation, but I can definitely see the drama being more popular than the movie internationally. I’m also really glad to see Han Dong Jun as the male lead in this, he’s one of my favorite actors to watch so I hope he continues to rise.

Oh hated this story. It had very weak female characters, not that the character themselves were weak but their characterisation was.
Almost all the females were poor and deemed unworthy. Mind you I only watched the movie so it might just be the movies portrayals.
I really dislike the plot line of the friend who threw away her own pride to be ‘the bit on the side’ for one of the rich guy, who not only had no intentions of marrying her he didn’t even love her and the girl was okay with it. Just thinking about it pisses me off.

First of all.. who is the guy @ second last pic ^__^
Finally Han Dong Jun drama.. after Siege in fog “banned to air” a drama I can enjoy with him in it!
I didn’t disliked the movie but some acting “Kris Wu, he was good in sweet 16” could be better and Han Dong Jun can pull that of perfectly! Don’t know much about the female lead or forget her parts.
Hope gonna be awesome!
