Liu Yi Fei’s comeback drama!
And it’s official! The drama weibo has confirmed its main leads and it was rumored for a while already. Liu Yi Fei and Boran Jing will return to dramaland to film manhua-to-drama adaptation of Records of the Southern Mist House (南烟斋笔录) written by Ke Xiao Sha. I tried reading the story and ultimately “found out” aka remember I can’t read manga/manhua/manhwa like a regular student when I was in high school. My eyes just can’t follow the bubbles in the right order and I walked out of that manga club! So I’m hoping some of you guys have read this manhua and tell me what it’s about. All I know is that our heroine is a boss/owner of a incense/spice shop and and she has a great mission of unwinding/solving tangles of the heart for her clients.
Miss Liu will film this drama and then train for her Mulan movie! Filming begins on 12/28!

This will be Liu Yi Fei’s first comeback on dramaland after 12 years since ROCH 2006. I was hoping for her to film drama again, and it finally happened. <3

Ahh I’m so happy. Been waiting for LYF to do a series forever.
Next year drama schedule would be super full with all the highly anticipated dramas coming out.

I’m actually more excited to Jing Boran in a drama. His last one was Love Weaves Through a Millenium? with Zheng Shuang and he carried that.

I’ve read some of this manhua earlier this year. Don’t remember much of the heroine that LYF is going to play. Each story focuses on the main characters of that story, she’s more of a bystander/common link. The endings are all bittersweet or tragic so I think they will make it more light-hearted and add in some romance with Boran’s character.
