Aha! Looks like Zheng Shuang is leaving behind her Queen of Youth dramas title and jumping into the world of chaos and double identities as she and Tong Da Wei will be leading upcoming novel-to-drama adaptation of Top Secret. I think this will be good for her career because one can only play kiddos for so long and it’s nice to have Tong Da Wei as her acting coach. The story will take place during the time before the Pacific War and it’s a journey of how one man destroys plans of invasion from the Japanese and how he changes the course of wars in history.

The pairing is a little strange for me but I love the pictures of them together.
Look at these pics (different from above)! cute outfits and cute smiles all around. Never saw Zheng shuang smile so big before! I guess I’m one of who still roots for her even when she’s bad at acting. It’s hard to let go when she seemed like such an innocent girl with so much potential years ago in her debut!

I know there’s lots of controversies in regards to her act icing and the whole Weibo smoking stuff but I am one of the few that still loves and roots for Zheng Shuang. I truly hope she learns a lot from Tong Da Wei and truly improves through this. Girl you have the ability to be better just pay more attention to acting and letting yourself go instead of how you look and you’ll be fine. Fighting!

ZS is extremely popular in China is not because she is a great actress Not having very good skills does work for the roles she picks…She has a real innocence and sincerity that appeals to the audience. She has a pull factor…and there are alot of good actors who cannot sell drama. I am looking forward to watching this drama.

You nailed it, that’s why she is so popular…that innocent sincerity with an underlying hint of melancholy is something she never seems to lose no matter how long she is in the industry and it really makes me root for her.

She grew on me over the years…And I began to understand her appeal and attraction. I do enjoy most of her newer shows… I have watched all her production. It feels like she has accepted her own self and just be comfortable in her own skin. I see ZS in her roles and I enjoy it.
