Are you ready to meet the newest version of China F4? With an average height of 185cm and an average age of 21, the boys are rookie actors, revealed through Bazaar Magazine photoshoot today. This is the result of a casting program with over 30,000 applicants. The precious female lead is given to Shen Yue, the adorable upcoming female lead in A Love So Beautiful.

I approve of this casting very much. Solid choices all around. Newbies + an adorable female lead who looks like she has the acting chops from that trailer of A Love So Beautiful. Although I’ll say this again, Zheng Shuang was really really good in Meteor Shower and was a breath of fresh air in there.
they all look age appropriate too. And I like the way they released the news with a nice photoshoot in what appears to be a school. Much better than stock cast pictures, because let’s be honest people are going to judge them HARD on initial glance. Might as well do the photos justice. Curly haired kid is adorable.
So glad for newbies because there is no need to cast an older dude. Whoever plays Doumyouji is going to get famous no matter what their acting is like or how bad the script is. Just look at Lee Minho, and Zhang Han. Give new fresh meat a chance! Although i can’t believe I’m saying this, but China’s almost a little over-saturated by good looking younger actors now do they really need another breakout star??

No not meteor garden again haha! It’s like ROCH and LOCH, remakes and remakes! But I gotta admit the female lead looks extremely likeable, lets hope her Makino isn’t annoying like the one in the korean version sigh.

Just when you think this story will die…it never will! Man I think about the japanese author and how much royalties she must be getting from this one manga she made. Then again it’s a classic lol It’ll be interesting to see the production, as the casting is already done. Thank god for newbie actors, now we just need to see them in action! I can already tell either Dylan Wang or Ceasar Wu might be Hua Ze Lei, though Dylan gives more of the character vibe to me.

I think the lead actress looks very fitting for the part and she seems to be a good actress. i just hope Makino is as feisty as she should be and the guys can act especially Doumyouji because he is a very tricky character to get right. The Japanese Hana Yori Dango is still the definitive version for me but I will probably watch this.

Hopefully that curly haired Darren should/MUST play that Domyouji character… it will be an easy-peasy for him basing on his looks plus he appears to be the most charismatic.
