Jimmy Lin’s My Lucky Star gets a new adaptation 2018

The old Taiwanese drama My Lucky Star (放羊的星星) with Jimmy Lin and Yoo Ha Na is getting a Chinese remake. The original aired in 2007 so it has been 10 years. I must not have watched this drama because I remember nothing about it. I tend to like Jimmy more in ancient dramas so I tend to stray when he’s in modern land. Do you remember this series? Good?

Haha. I totally remember this! I only watched it because Jimmy Lin was SOOOO HANDSOME in it. LOL. But yeah, HONESTLY, it’s just your typical drama troupes throughout. It was good in the beginning as the two start to fall in love, but then DRAMA happens and yeah… But, overall, I thought it was okay. Although I had to admit that I skipped the middle episodes and just watched the last few episodes to see what the ending was.

I saw this too. The girl is korean I believe and she was pretty charming in it. Story not very outstanding but at the time it was rather attractive. But I did love the OST A lot…

Omg, this was like one of the first taiwanese series I ever watched n I loved it. Ost was perfect n the cast was perfect. I still rewatch it at times. I hope they don’t butcher it so I can like the remake too.

I remember enjoying it, even though it was cliched. I usually don’t like watching dubbed modern dramas, but Yoo Ha Na’s dubbed voice was ok, it didn’t annoy me. I actually thought she had potential to go places because she did have a lot of charm (both on and off-screen), but it appears that she did not make it big in her home country (maybe due to lack of good roles), I think if she had continued to film in Taiwan, she would have made a name for herself in their entertainment industry, I feel it’s such a pity.

This is truly one of Taiwan’s better production. Storyline is interesting and the journey from their first meeting to the end is full of rocks and bumps. Not overly dramatic but the three leads have good chemistry. Jimmy is cute to watch. Worth a watch. At parts quite draggy but you can speed watch those bits. It is in Youtube, you can catch it there.

This drama isn’t so bad. I would suggest it. 🙂
