=======> ♦ Of the four drama projects, only one is an ancient drama and that’s the most anticipated one right now as it’s been sitting pretty, gathering dust in the palms of evil. Tribes and Empires: Storm of Prophecy (海上牧云记): In the ancient times, 6th Prince Mu Yun Sheng (Huang Xuan) was born. Because his mom is a demon (takeaway is…she’s not human), he is not loved by the Emperor, and lives in seclusion and loneliness. He happens to obtain an antique painting of a spirit demon and befriends the little trapped being (*tears*). Both promise to escape to the world’s most beautiful place. Mu Ru Han Jiang (Shawn Dou), son of a general, is elected to be the prince’s friend since he was young. Their peaceful days end when the eight tribes rebel. Mu Ru army fails to protect the royal family and is then exiled, breaking the friendship formed between the two families – Mu Yun and Mu Run. A few years later, a new rebellion threatens the royal family and this time, adult Mu Ru Han Jiang is the only one capable of protecting them. Pain and sorrows of past wounds now manifest in the new generation.

=======> ♦ Next one on my watch-list is melo modern drama with the beloved Li Qin, whom he spurned in Princess Agents. Lol. Tears in Heaven (海上繁花) is adapted from Fei Wo Si Cun’s novel Variety Flowers At Seaside. Reporter Du Xiaosu (Li Qin) meets and falls in love with Shao Zhenrong (Leon Zhang), but his mother is passionately against their love. During his medical trip to the mountains, Zhen Rong dies in a mudslide. To forget the pain of his death, Xiao Su works and works until exhaustion sends her to the hospital. All her suffering is witnessed by Lei Yuzheng (Shawn Dou) and he silently helps her from the side, which provokes the wrath of Jiang Fanlu (Wang Ruizi), who makes Xiao Su’s at work harder. More scheming happens to make Yu Zheng’s company fall and with the support of Xiao Su, he makes a comeback and their misunderstanding is eventually cleared up. (This drama will tear our hearts up – Leon is the super nice, handsome doc!!)

=======> ♦ Then there’s the oddball in See You Again with Tang Yan. A modern drama with a twist in time as the heroine encounters an accident on the plane and is sent back in time. Armed with knowledge of the future, she begins chasing her future husband (Shawn) once again, just to find out that he’s a heart-breaker alright! XD

=======> ♦ Lastly, Shawn’s newest modern drama is From Survivor to Healer, with actress Miao Miao. Look closely and you’ll notice the crew of familiar actors from Tribes and Empires. LOL. Everyone looks so darn different in modern suits and good hair. Filming has been completed on 9/22 as well!
