I love it when my hunch is right! The production released a batch of stills of the ladies a few days ago and I was thinking that they would release the new stills of the male real soon. And Tada! Here it is! The men in armor ready for battle! I’m pretty excited for this one because of the cast and the rich, deep costumes, and of course the twist in history! Ma Tian Yu has had a fair share of prominent roles but he doesn’t have a representative work yet and I hope this is it. Make it big puppy!

Ma Tian Yu as twins – Liu Xie and Liu Ping. The twins were separated after the queen’s execution, one was raised to become a puppet emperor, while the other one was raised with Sima Yi. This is a juicy role!! The drama is based on the novel written by Ma Bo Yong, following the ups and downs and imperial changes of the Eastern Han Dynasty on Cao Cao’s side.
Elvis Han Dong Jun as Sima Yi. Best known as a general and politician of the state of Cao Wei in the Three Kingdoms period, defending Wei from Zhuge Liang’s Northern Expeditions.

Wan Qian (The Glory of Tang Dynasty) as Fu Shou, an empress of the Eastern Han dynasty. She was the first wife of Emperor Xian (Liu Xie), the last Han emperor.
Dong Jie as Tang Ying. Ma Tian Yu’s twin (Emperor Shao of Han)’s wife. Dude is so lucky!
Sunny Wang as Guo Jia, warlord Cao Cao’s adviser in the late Eastern Han dynasty.
Dong Xuan as Diao Chan. Was thought to had a romance with Lu Bu and caused Lu to betray and kill his foster father, tyrannical warlord Dong Zhuo.
Tse Kwan Ho as Cao Cao.
Tan Jian Ci as Cao Pi, first emperor of the state of Cao Wei, second son of Cao Cao.
Wang Yu Wen as Empress Cao Jie, second wife to Emperor Xian (Liu Xie). Cao Cao’s daughter.
Wang Xiao Min as Lady Zhen, first wife of Cao Pi.
Directed by You Da Zhi (The Vigilantes in Masks) and Zheng Wei Wen (Imperial Doctress), written by Chang Jiang (Yan Zi Li San 1996), Three Kingdoms Secret has 40 episodes. No air date yet.

Han Dong Jun looks fantastic as Sima Yi and Dong Jie is gorgeous! I esp like her second pic (below her mourning pic).

Very excited about this. A bunch of pretty AND decent actors and actresses who can act. Also bromance between two very promising C-actors . Hope a trailer drops soon !

been waiting for this for so long u have no idea TT.TT . I’m so excited for this because its the only new ma tian yu drama that is not based on some tear jerking messed up novel
