Yes, one thing why I’m attracted to him is because he reminds me of Yang Yang. However, he has his own charisma. He’s a cutie. I’m glad he’s getting more roles.

I did not like Untouchable a bit, it was so full of cliché and predictable with breathtakingly beautiful vampires absorbing energy instead of Blood. And guess what, the male lead has this misterious and ” delicious ” energy, so the female lead is attracted to him. Kinda reminds of Twilight, another very mediocre vampire story. I’ll skip the drama without remorse

Now that you mention it, it kinda does remind me of Twilight. But I still like the webtoon because watching a supermodel trying so hard to win over a man who just refuse to let her anywhere close to him is hilarious. Although I’ve got to be honest, the webtoon’s drawing of the male lead reminds me of Ahn Jaehyun so that’s another thing that keeps me reading, lol.

Source material has no substance whatsoever and is a very standard shoujo (with a bit gender twist since the female lead is the assertive one while the male lead is more submissive-tsundere), so enjoyment level pretty much banks on how much you like the leads’ chemistry. I actually enjoy the couple’s dynamic at least till they get together before they go all melo we-can’t-be-together BS near the end.

I am not 100% sure this is the only reason but from what I understand time traveling became very popular at one time and the plot usually involves the lead meeting some sort of life threatening situation (car accident, drowning, struck by lightening) to travel back in time and then meeting prince charming or a bunch of handsome guy who falls in love with her. As a result, China felt this type of plot have a very bad influence in young people/kids mind and may lead to suicide attempt to ‘travel back in time”. I heard someone actually did kill herself thinking she can travel back time which lead to the banning.
