Memory Love (噗通噗通我愛你) is an upcoming Taiwanese drama starring Andy Chen Yi, Mandy Wei Man, Jolin Chien, and Kris Shen. At first glance, it looks like a fluffy romcom drama but noooooo, was so wrong. Our heroine has a good life and good boyfriend but all of that is ripped away from hers when her boyfriend dies in a car accident and she has amnesia, leading to an identity switch with her friend (Mandy Tao)! Her boyfriend’s heart is donated…to our male lead (Andy), of course. All the usual tropes thrown all in one pot!

I wonder why Jolin Chien get lead roles and is stuck in second lead hell? I think he’s really good looking and a good actor.

Wait is that the pretty guy from Princess of Lan Ling? I didn’t watch it cuz I saw a thumbnail on youtube with Lan Ling Wang’s death scene (?). But the girl’s really pretty. She reminds me of Zhang Bichen a little. Also looks like a cooking themed show, which is my thing. But also looks like a typical crappy modern cdrama (I know it’s taiwanese but man that modern cdrama formula) filled with “dog-blood” angst and plot-holes light-years wide.

Watched the first episode today without any idea of the plot. I’m hooked! Super makjang type of drama, but totally my cup of tea. No idea who the male lead is but I’m smitten by him. Can’t wait until next week!

Just watched first episode. I really enjoyed it. Even tho it has all those above mentioned tropes, I hope it doesn’t get too angsty.. the previews look fun, loved the ‘dessert shows’…
