Here’s an easy-to-watch ancient drama with the topic of food! Since the ladies mentioned it in the Binging-Watching Posts, it came to my attention. Chef Fang (Hua Jian Ti Hu Fang Da Chu, 花间提壶方大厨) is adapted from the novel written by Er Ya, following our heroine (Jiang Jia En), who is a talented cook, whose beauty isn’t her outstanding feature (what? she’s adorable!) She does a favor for Mr. Fang and marries the supposedly tyrant in town, Shen Yong (Lei Mu), and thus begins a story of family love, crime solving, and a flavorful romance.

I finished this drama in like 3 days.
Highly recommended! love the in-laws. no makjang. just plain fluff and cute moment between the OTP <3

WOW she is totally really gorgeous. I don’t usually find anyone that good looking in their pictures until I see them moving in the movie then they start to look better and better. I think she looks real good even thought they’re only pictures, just like how I used to see Sun Fei Fei.
Until Sun Fei Fei failed to act cute and spoiled in this one drama with fan bing bing, Hopefully this new actress acting will be good on trying goofiness. Glad to hear about the good review. She is the first girl to look this good with bangs.

I’m still watching this haha. It’s not a drama for chasing after every night but definitely recommend it for when you want to watch something light-hearted and cute. The female lead is adorbs and the food looks soooo yummy.

This looks (and sounds – thanks for the OST info) really cute – I am off to find it right now. I especially liked how the heroine looked like a young girl – not too skinny, not too silly and quite pleasant – that you would like to meet.

There’s a funny scene where the male lead notices that she actually has some curves on her body. Absolutely hilarious =)
I plan to go back to re-watch the cooking scenes and try a few of the recipes! The chicken wings look like it could be done without any cooking skills/experience =P
