Wu Xin The Monster Killer 2 uses same themesong, Ying Er and Nicky Wu sing for My Ruby My Blood

Summer is a double-wedged sword when it comes to airing dramas. It’s good because ratings are generally higher due to students being off and tuning in to their favorite currently on air, but it’s also bad because every production wants to be the most talked and on top in the ratings game, leading to a division of audience views! Here are two more dramas that are scheduled to compete for your time this summer. Wu Xin The Monster Killer Season 2 and modern drama My Ruby My Blood with Nicky Wu and Ying Er.

New Stills for My Ruby My Blood:

My Ruby My Blood will premiere on June 11th with 38-40 episodes. The story follows hard-working and resilient heroine, who stands by her boyfriend (Ren Yan Kai) and supports his ideals for the arts. She meets the general manager (Nicky Wu) of designer company and he discovers her talents for designs, hoping to sign her up for his company. She slowly drifts away from her boyfriend due to their differences of personality while general manager becomes her guide towards the future.

New Stills for Wu Xin The Monster Killer Season 2:

Rumor has Wu Xin 2 premiering this summer (earliest is June 1st) on Sohu as a webdrama. Season 2 opens the story 20 years after what happened in the prequel with Wu Xin now playing bromance with his best friend’s son. Lol.

More shirtless Elvis Han Dong Jun. XD He and Jiang Jin Fu are frequent gym members, one of the few.

Our precious Lord’s son, played by Ian Wang Yan Lin. I think even more than the romance, bromance knocks it out of the ballpark.

I think Ying’er got lots of haters and Nicky is too old (don’t know how he’s younger here, he was much older looking in BBJX).

Wuxin 1 was a bit boring but Sebrina was very cute, the new leading lady looks quite pale (I mean in the context of skin looking weak-in-color or sickly-in-color), usually the Ugyhur actress are like. Especially when GLNZ first came out in Xuan yuans sword, her lips are very color less like that too.

It’s the hair hahaha!!! The Qing Dynasty hair is not for everyone kekke!!

Its the same song but the feeling it gives off is so so different, does anyone feel this way too? The characters, especially Wu Xin and Yue Ya in Monster Killer 1 was quite deeply etched in my mind. Their ending was a heartbreaking one and the theme songs were so relevant to the story itself. And honestly I will never get over what Mike’s character did at the last episode. Made me dislike his character so badly. Kinda hard for me to accept a new couple.
So new to see Wu Xin and Qi Luo walk together so peacefully lol, especially when they were enemies and she killed Yue Ya in Season 1.

Agreed! Wu Xin and Yue Ya in Season 1 is really deeply etched in my mind so its really hard to accept Season 2 so soon. However that was how it is for the novels. Yue Ya was just a passing wind for Wu Xin’s long long life unfortunately….

I know it’s completely canon for WuXin to forget about his “previous lives” and thus Yue Ya, but I can’t watch season 2 because I know I won’t be able to get behind the ship. Somehow I just feel like I’m betraying my beloved, bittersweet WuYa couple. Same though. I can logically see the reason behind, but I will never get behind Mike’s character removing all his physical representations of those memories with Yue Ya. It’s one thing for WuXin to move one with his long-life and of course find a new SO and a new love. But it’s another to just forget completely about Yue Ya. It’s not WuXin’s fault he forgets, but it’s Mike’s character’s fault for making a decision to make Wuxin’s decision for him. He has no right. It’s like he’s demeaning Yue Ya’s existence.

I know it sucks Wuxin has to forget everything, and at the end of season II he will most likely forget everything all over again so they can make season III. Everyone Wuxin love will still die of old age if not killed.
Since I believe in reincarnation, I’ll take it in the perspective of like… lets say, all of us get reborn but nobody remembers their past and love lives anymore, so we all move on because that’s just how life works. Everybody in the world pretty much demean their past without choices, it is sad in reality too.

Someone should get Elvis and Jiang Jin Fu in one drama. Double the muscles LOl.

So excited for WuXin season 2. I reallllly hope I don’t get let down for this since I LURVED Season 1.

And I may be going against the grain here, but I’m really glad the whole Gina/Elvis arc is over. I love his devotion to her, but she’s a rather weak character. If not for Elvis’ undying love and all the cuteness that resulted from it, it was hard to get behind this ship. So I, for one, am happy that he’s onto someone new.

As for Ian, I hope his bromance with Elvis will still be the same. I loved their bickering/brotherly love in Season 1.

Can’t wait to see Sebrina! Her look here is a little off-putting, but because I love the actress so much since Season 1, I will look forward to her presentation.

Agreed! Yue Ya and Wuxin were cute together, but she wasn’t a great character in any way. And Mike’s character made a decision that he felt was best for Wuxin. Wuxin has amnesia when he wakes up and presenting his past life to him without any memory of it does not help him live a happy life. Why try to remind someone of their heartbreak if they can’t remember it?

The new actress in Wuxin 2 looks so cute and looks like she can act from the trailers!

I can’t breathe!!! I’m still bitter that Yue Ya died and Wu Xin forgot about her… T.T
I thought their love would be eternal but no, nadah!!! *am gonna go cry my heart out in the corner*
Gonna stop watching Chinese dramas for awhile. Everytime, one of my OTPs died or doesn’t have a good ending… >.<
