You are either gonna have productions that release stills every 3 days or ones that don’t release a sniff of anything! This webdrama is unfortunately the latter. Drama adaptation of manhua Rakshasa Street stars Jiro Wang (Looking for Aurora) and An Yue Xi (Tornado Girl 2) in a supernatural modern world where there’s hell and heaven, and the in-between dimension.
Beside two new posters + first trailer, we have nothing else. Lol.

Character Descriptions I wrote in previous posts:
Our male lead, Cao Yan Bing (Jiro Wang). He comes from a family of guardian generals and was born with a guardian spirit or so we thought (Lol). His younger brother wasn’t born with one and their parents consider that a freedom, a blessing. Not long after his brother was born, his parents were called away and never came back. We learned later in the story that they were killed, leaving the defenseless kids to fend for themselves; being sold, being beaten, being separated. All I have to say is adversity makes a hero and it’s the case here for both brothers as they grow stronger to protect their home in Rakshasa Street.
Our heroine, Xia Ling (An Yue Xi), is a fresh graduate out of college and looking for jobs. When she receives a text message for an interview late at night at a street called Rakshasa, she rushes out, and belatedly realizes how weird it is for a company to interview so late (she’s desperate for a job). It’s too late now and she has crossed into a transitional dimension, the bridge between the human realm and hell, where spirits are kept until they are sanctioned. There are many streets like this and each street has a guardian general, guarding the place. At Rakshasa Street, it’s the turf of two brothers – Cao Yan Bing (older) and Cao Xuan Liang, presumably are descendants of Cao Cao.
Where to Read the Original?
1. Watch the Anime Subbed here.
2. Read the Manhua here.

It seems like the kind of action drama that allows Jiro Wang to take his shirt off a lot . . .

I love the anime (mostly the awesome bromance) but I’m not sure how I feel about the webdrama…I personally don’t see Jiro as Cao Yan Bing, at least the way he seems in the trailer, but I’m also biased cuz I don’t think much of his acting in general either. Also conflicted cuz I love An Yue Xi but I also hate/really annoyed by the female character in the anime so…
(SPOILER HINT)
I LOVE the plot twist at the end of season 1 of the anime…I never could have seen it coming, but somehow everything ties together and makes sense because…well all I can say is their personalities stay consistent with who they are and who they start out as and that should have been a big hint to me but I still didn’t see it coming.

Same here Juli. I didn’t see the big reversal and was like… WHAT WHAT WHAT? I didn’t understand it as it was explained. LOL. Like a brain fart moment. I think I need to rewatch the whole series to really let the big reveal sink in. It wasn’t something I could’ve guessed at all.

Excited for the live action adaptation! Kept waiting for the female lead to step up in season 1 of the anime but she never really did much. I think she’ll play a bigger role in the drama (well I hope so anyway!)
^YES the plot twist was really well done. There were moments when I wondered why certain things were that way in the anime but never could’ve figured out it was because of the plot twist.

LOL. I did the same thing. Waiting for her and her “supposedly” awesome beast to be released. Terribly disappointed.
