Will acting beside the Golden Horse Best Actress elevate Peter’s stoic acting or make it more visible? We shall see, we shall see. In celebration of Sandra’s birthday on pie day, the production crew releases a lot of goodies: stills, behind-the-scene clips, and a comedic teaser of Sandra flipping Peter on various occasions…and planting a kiss on them lips!

Sorry but the costumes in this drama are so unappealing. Every single one I’ve seen for this drama is an eyesore. The material looks like carpet, linoleum and foam packing, the colours, the cut, the fit, the patterns are all just horrid.

I actually love the bombastic approach they took with costumes in contrast to the dry bare scenery . It’s not gaudy without direction I guess what I’m saying? It’s unique, but unfortunately not going to be for everyone’s palate.

I’m most curious about… Peter Sheng’s height lol.
I was watching Pretty Li Huizhen and absolutely certain that he’s not 180. Now looking at these stills, I think there’s a slight possibility that it may be true. His height is just a mystery. Either Ma Si Cun’s also shorter than she claims, or Dilraba’s taller than listed, or Peter Sheng has got higher shoes on here.

Is Peter Sheng one of those ‘young fresh meat’ actors that are subjects of scorn lately? veterans are complaining they act like divas demanding big salaries, can’t act and use stand-ins 85% of the time.

Does Peter Sheng have connections? I am baffled by how he keeps getting lead roles when much much better actors are hardly or languishing away in second lead. and supporting roles.
He is beyond stiff, can’t act at all, short (no way he is 180cm), body is nothing special with weak shoulders and tiny little legs, not interesting, funny or charismatic in variety, interviews or BTS.
He has a cute face and seems pleasant and harmless enough but so do 1000s of other young actors. Someone needs to explain this to me…

I don’t think so… if I am not wrong, he actually had a fall-out with his company previously, which was straight after the period when his popularity was sky-high due to Go Princess Go.
But yeah I agree that he does have no acting skills, so maybe it’s the popularity that is getting him roles.

He indeed gained fame and popularity from Go Princess Go. Considering the main cast pretty much went on to become hot commodities in the drama world, it’s safe to say that’s where it all began. Peter might not have ended well with the production company after, but I personally think it’s the production company’s fault as they were notoriously known for being thrifty during filming and even had the cast chip in the cost to finish the drama.

The director for Go Princess Go is also the art director for this series so I wouldn’t rule out the possibility of connections. Peter does need some acting lessons for sure and maybe no more stoic, pokerfaced roles?

Peter is much more animated in the BTS! LOL. They seem to be pretty good friends on set, so I hope that translates to decent chemistry on screen.
This is my other anticipated drama, admittedly for Sandra. She’s been in drama, action, and now comedy — cool. And being a badass, which is a role she usually kills.
