Lie Huo Ru Ge (The Flame’s Daughter, 烈火如歌) is the drama adaptation of Ming Xiao Xi‘s novel, who also wrote Summer’s Desire and Taekwondo Girl. The twisty four-way romance has now confirmed the leads in Dilraba Dilmurat, Vic Zhou, Zhang Bin Bin, and Liu Rui Lin with their respective posters just hours ago.

The story focuses on a lively and passionate Ru Ge (Dilraba), heir to a big estate, and her entangled love with three men in her life. Lol. One enters a life of immortality just for the chance of meeting her again, yet he’s cursed with an unrequited love forever (Xue – Vic Zhou). Another is a gentle, loving, crippled man who eventually loses most of his senses (Yu – Liu Rui Lin). Lastly is an arrogant man who is her first love and also the one to break her heart (Feng – Zhang Bin Bin).

Does anyone know who the director is? I don’t have much hope for this seeing the author’s other works.
I think Vic Zhou is miscast. They should have gone for someone younger looking and “prettier”. He gives me creepy uncle vibes in this picture especially the one that looks like he put a towel on his head!
Dilraba’s looks pretty but I hope her character isn’t a naive damsel in distress the whole time.
ZBB looks so cool and intense. That boy is versatile! Disappointing he’s stuck in second lead again.
Liu Rui Lin looks good but his character description sounds beyond depressing.

The director is Liang Shengquan or Leung Sing Kuen in Canto, since he’s from HK. He also directed Hua Qian Gu, Old Nine Gates, and that new William Chan drama with Liu Shishi.

@ chasngpolaris: Thanks! Was he the co-director of thoses dramas? Because I thought the director for The Journey of Flower and the Shi Shi/William Chan drama was the lady who directed Ten Miles of Peach Blossoms.

I was hoping for Vengo :(. I’m indifferent to ZBB acting, so i’m glad that Vic Zhou is Xue instead. I miss Vic on small screen, but I still rather it be Vengo.

I read up on the ending and it’s a little more complicated than that. That’s why I don’t like this author at all (all her books suck imo).
Anyway, I’m curious how they are going to use green screens with most of the colours taken lol.

Is ZBB 2nd lead again? Since this is another one of Yang Mi’s productions I’m assuming, you’d think she would promote the best guy under her company to lead. Also I’m already getting tired of him and Dilraba. This makes it what, 3 in a row? Let the guy pair up with someone new!
