Beside Proud of Love Season 2, here’s another webdrama, slated for January 9th release. I swear I don’t go looking for new dramas, they just come across my stalkery spidey senses. Master Devil Do Not Kiss Me (ę¶éå°ē·å«å»ę) is based on the novel of the same name written by Jin Xia Mo. The story follows our heroine as she loses her mother and guardianship is given to a rich household of the male lead. She’s then enabled to attend a prestigious high school with him as the Master Devil, always giving her a hard time. The story sounds like a mix of multiple idol dramas, including Meteor Garden. At least our heroine is one to give him the finger right back!

With female lead, actress Xing Fei. She was in Tornado Girl 2 and variety show Grade One. She learned acrobatics in school and then attended Guangdong Acrobatic Troupe (managed by the Chinese Army) in 2006. Whoa ~~~ Very similar to our Yang Yang’s background.

Yep the story does sound like a mix of idol drama and also mangas! But wow, actors are getting younger…while i’m slowly getting older lol

Lol not quite interested but might watch. The plot sounds rehashed and the cast I don’t really know (love that the newbies are getting a chance to shine, but am also more hesitant bc they tend to be stiffer in acting), BUT looks like just the brainless fluff I need without the expectations of a “high-quality” production that I keep getting disappointed by. Plus, despite the scriptedness and ridiculous “gou-xie”-ness of Grade One, I actually love the show and have watched both college seasons, so I actually quite like Xing Fei. Nice that she’s getting her lead roles and the opportunity, but also a little worried cuz she didn’t seem to show any particular acting skills in the show (altho tbh she got not a lot of screen time). I like her well enough to watch though. At some pt.
I’ll prolly watch too for the fluff and my lack of expectations. Webdramas this yr have been much more enjoyable than the “high budget, high quality” long dramas.
Xing Fei seems to fit quirky/playful roles like this (I remember her being a funny old monk in Grade One) so I think she’ll do well here ^^
I binged all 23 eps in 1 setting.
If you can get past the corny and bad 1st episode (or 2) – the drama’s actually nice. I like the MC girl. She has guts. She has brains. She has pride. Loving how she ain’t a damsel in distress. The male lead … he’s pretty cute/handsome, and he can be looking quite normal š His character is totally a tsundere. They both are tbh aha. I love them two <3.
Anyways the first 23 eps are out. Total of 45 episodes. Don't know when the rest will be uploaded as the second half is 'season 2'.
URGH I hope it's out soon cuz that cliffhanger is killing me!

I’m so excited for this drama, just patiently waiting for eng subs. Anything that has a strong herione and is similar to meteor garden gets me all excited. Hopefully it’s as promising as the story line is.
