Han Han leads Snarky Family in Duckweed’s Animated Posters

Lol. I was gonna say three (father Eddie Peng, mother Zhao Li Ying, son Deng Chao) but writer and director Han Han is equally snarky in his weibo posts, especially targeting our Li Ying for her sharp words against every now and then. XD Such a cute man. I’m still amazed how close this cast is despite filming for about a month-ish. Imagine if they spent 3-4 months like shooting for a full-length drama! BFFs? Some translation, plus new stills and posters after the jump.

Animated Posters:

Han Han writes, “Deng Chao is indeed Eddie Peng’s son, Li Ying is Eddie’s wife, but whether Li Ying is Deng Chao’s mom, I can’t reveal that.” (He’s such a troll!)

For this poster, Han Han replies to Li Ying’s weibo post (she asks why Deng Chao is hugging her legs [as a teasing statement]), “He’s pleading you to stop eating, leave some for him.”

Eddie Peng’s Interview with Sina mentioning Li Ying and Hu Ge’s love shield:

—–> In Hu Ge’s interview at GQ event, reporters ask him again about his status as the President of the Bachelor Council, Hu Ge replies, “There’s still Eddie Peng left!” LOL. When asked how he feels about being pulled into the water, Eddie says that he’s in no rush. “But Hu Ge is also right since in Yang Clan, he played 6th bro and I was the youngest. In that case, I would have to wait for him to get married first, then all 6 brothers could attend my wedding.” *smiles*

—–> In the interview for Sina, they ask about his chemistry with Li Ying since they are acting as a couple. Eddie responds that it’s very good. “The time we spent together was limited, and whenever she arrived, we would have to immediately shoot the scenes. But we had an interesting couple relationship. Our story is that of an old couple of 20 years. My character is a passionate young man, fearless and always under the mindset of pursuing my dreams. However, Li Ying’s role is more mature, and in front of her eyes, I become a child, so she always takes care of me. Moreover, the director (Han Han) would direct us how to act like a couple of twenty years and we spent a lot of time in those scenes. The usual interactions are not what he wanted. He wanted a couple that grew old together (I’m thinking the comfort level between elderly couples). In the end, Han Han would always act out my role, while I acted as Li Ying.” Hehe, see the gif below to understand what he meant.

This remind me with American film Back to the future. When marty accidentally went to the past time with a car, he meets his father and become best friend and help his father to win his mother’s heart, but instead his mother fallen in love with marty (her son in the future. lol). I accidentally watch this movie last year and the sequels in my cable TV and enjoying very much despite they are old movies

Kappy, have you heard Li Ying’s next drama project ‘Never Leave Me Alone’? Thanks!

I have…but it was last year. She has rumored projects all year long, not many became real. She said before she wanted to rest more this year. 🙂

Hi Kappy, thanks so much for this update. Never tired of anything Lying’s related LOL. The animated posters are so funny. Nice to see them enjoying working together. Really looking forward to this. In relation to Carla Perez comment, I too saw on ZLY My Dramalist stated that apart from Monkey King, there’s a new “movie” or “drama” titled “Never leave me alone” : http://mydramalist.com/people/2321-zhao-zanilia

I did a search but didn’t see any info on this. Either this is new to be announced (in the pipeline maybe?), rumoured project or an error…..since you seemed to be up to date to what’s going on, maybe you heard or read something on this? If this is true, then yeah….for our Ying Baby!

I’m so bewildered with everyone asking about Never Leave Me Alone. Lol. The rumor came out last year and then got dusted under the bed. If it’s not confirmed by her studio, it’s false. Li Ying said she wanted to rest more this year, focusing on herself and opening up to love. (hehe).

And to be honest, I hope she doesn’t do that drama since the author is known for extreme melo and abuse towards her female leads. I wouldn’t want her to touch that project with a nine-foot pole. XD Of course, it’s my personal preference and fans of her novels shouldn’t be bothered. 🙂
