Update: Dear Tranzgeek translated the whole mv for you guys. I personally don’t think much of the lyrics. Lol. The setting of this movie is in the 80s and 90s and women were expected with different things. Plus, Deng Chao, the son, is singing it and we still don’t know the full story.

There are worst songs than this. Lol. Even in America where women are slightly looked upon better we have these kind of music.

You seriously don’t find anything wrong with the lyrics? It’s about a man wanting his wife to be at his every beck and call.. telling her she can’t sleep before him at night and wake up after him, telling her she needs to look good for him and cook good food, among other misogynist demands. Weibo was blowing up because of this and Han Han trended with the search term 直男癌.
