Yay! Some Taiwanese dramas to look forward to with my favorite leading men! Both dramas have a common theme: the fate of being cursed.
=======> ♦ Lego Li and Cindy Lien Yu Han in The King Of Romance (如朕親臨). Our leads take on the roles of Golden Boy and Jade Girl and were cursed in a romance that spans seven lifetimes. They meet again in the modern era and only when the two lovers reunite will the curse be broken and they can finally be together. Is it weird I really want to see them in the other lives more? Lego looks very handsome in the republican army cape.
The King of Romance premieres on 12/3/16.

Can’t wait to fall in love with Lego once again (even with that awful ‘stache!)—after falling out of love with his borderline-stalker character in Love at Seventeen. He looks so good in the Republican outfits, can they stay in that era please? Seeing this reminds me that I haven’t actually watched any ancient/period Taiwanese dramas yet. So weird.

Some of the Taiwanese actors and actresses would look absolutely lovely in Republican era dramas. I miss the Taiwanese drama craze I had ;_; Autumn Concerto had me go crazy lol.

i just watched Behind Your Smile.. but i don’t get his character at all. Who is he actually? Ups, it should be a secret that will be revealed later, right? haha… Marcus is so freaking hawt.

“Behind Your Smile” has all the making of a revenge drama, which is a disappointment. I went in thinking it is a supernatural/fantasy show because their initial promo tagged “lifetimes of interconnected fate binds them.” I guess I was wrong. The first episode was intentionally cryptic. Instead of exciting me with a mystery, it only made it look like they got seriously bad editing with more plot holes than craters on the moon. I can’t relate to any of the characters. They are either infantile, sadistic, or just plain bitter. Sigh.. I want to like this drama because I love Eugenie Liu from “A Good Day.” I hope it gets better later on. Maybe I should just skip to ep 5?
BTW, I highly recommend Taiwanese drama “V-Focus (獨家保鑣).” The show has humor and heart. And it has main characters I can honestly root for. It’s been 16 episodes, I still think it is awesome.

I think it is a supernatural drama cause in the official synopsis and main male’s character description it says that the male lead has sold his soul to the devil and is immortal because of it. Maybe it will be supernatural drama in next episodes. But yeah I think it will be drama about revenge too, In the character description it also says that the male lead is going to take revenge by making the female lead falling in love with her and toying with her feelings or something like that. I actually really loved 1st episode because it left with me with unanswered questions that made me want to watch next episode to find out what did Lin man, the mother of Lei Xin Yu did to Zhao Yi Ting and his family and what caused him to be this cruel. I also think that Zhao Yi Ting is kind of a different male character. He is not a hero, he is cunning, sly and cruel and you just don’t know what he’s next move is going to be. He is unpredictable. But I think the characters will change a lot, especially the main male character, Zhao Yi Ting.

I think I got it wrong, the ”selling his soul to the devil” seems more like a metaphor. Even after 4 episodes there isn’t any supernatural stuff either. Though I’m not sure but seems like it isn’t a fantasy drama.
