The irony of the order of posts to come out. Upcoming Japan and China collaborated sci-fi movie, Yao Mao Zhuan aka The Legend of Cat Demon (妖猫传) releases its first batch of stills. The story is inspired from Yumemakura Baku’s novel, “Samon Kukai Tou no Kuni nite Oni to Utagesu,” following the investigation of a cat demon and the mysterious deaths during the Tang Dynasty with the climax being the forecast of the emperor’s death. Japanese actor Shota Sometani (XXXHOLiC) is set to play the monk and Huang Xuan (The Interpreter) will join hands as a poet in charge of unveiling supernatural occurrences. A lot of time, budget, and effort were spent to polish the script and build a masterpiece set.

Liu Hao Ran is also listed in the cast list with no info about his character yet.
Directed by Chen Kaige (Monk Comes Down the Mountain) and written by Wang Hui Ling (The Crossing, Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon), Yao Mao Zhuan is set to be released in 2017.

Awww that black cat in Kitty Zhang Yu Qi’s hands is adorable <3
I know some tales back then give black cats bad reputation, but if you meet several cats, there are definitely ones that are just so cute lol. I'm a bit bias since I interact with animals for my activities.
The movie looks interesting. All these films with monks in them lol.

Fantastic for Huang Xuan, a leading role in Chen Kaige’s movie is another huge boost to his career. He deserves it, he is an excellent actor! He has done the hard yards! “Jia Yu”. Huang Xuan!!!
