English-subbed Trailer for Wang Li Kun’s Legend of the Heavenly Tear

Hmmmm. This is one interesting drama, as I’m not sure what time period we are in anymore, what’s with robotic voices, magical eye colors, underwater fairies, and bubbles of life? After being back-stabbed by her own husband (Zhang Xiao Long), our heroine (Claudia Wang Li Kun) meets another man (Joe Cheng) whose power and love for her give her the needs to take revenge and rise to the empress seat. Legend of the Heavenly Tear is adapted from the novel, Incomparable Phoenix (凤凰无双) written by Bing Lan Sha.

Stills:

Wang Li Kun is a stunning phoenix here. No doubt.

Hello! Thank you for the interesting post. I usually like fantasy “historic” drama, but I have to admit I was a bit weird out by this trailer haha. I felt like a mixt between an asian version of Stargate and an usual (or at least more usual nowadays) fusion saeguk. But who knows, maybe it will work out once on our screens ? I may check the first ep at least! ^^

Stargate and then Darth Vader’s voice ringing in my ears. XD

Since Cdramas are long, I usually recommend watching at least 5 episodes for the drama to get their groove together. Sometimes, it takes 10 or more…. Lol.

Yes, I’ve been wanting to talk about this since I saw the trailer this morning. Are we even in the same time period anymore or are they mixing alien into historical drama now? Is this the trend now because it is one that I DON’T want to continue. I read the summary of the novel somewhere and based on the trailer, they seem to completely divert the storyline. The trailer is super Weird!! Guess it’s one less project to look forward to. the costume’s designs are pretty though….

Aliens visiting palaces…. let’s not make that a trend. Lol.

It might be weird enough to work!! X) Everything is so beautiful otherwise…. Bahhhhh!!

Wow this looks so crazy!! I don’t know if I could handle a mash up of what looks like aliens and more ancient conspiracies!! >_< Lol. What is even happening? 😛

Joe Cheng and Wang Li Kun look great though. But what is wrong with Joe's headgear/hair accessories? It doesn't suit him… And my, I haven't seen Michelle Bai for a looong time. I saw her last in Myth and she was pretty good…

Holy cow, aliens ingratiating themselves with ancient China! It’s like watching Historic Channel’s “Ancient Aliens” except longer and with dialogs. I am totally up for it.

Joe Cheng is a mixed bag for me. While I will always think fondly of him because of “The Rose” and “They Kiss Again”, his choice of dramas often disappointed me, or more precisely, felt uninterested. But I am cautiously optimistic for this drama, between him, Wang Li Kun, and ancient aliens, one of them might just click for me.

Lol..I really don´t know what to think..this is a first for me…aliens and ancient China..
It is really weird that they are allowed to show things like this..but no timetravel..
This will be either really good or really bad..
