You guys don’t know, having a laptop means so much to me. It’s an extension outside the four walls of this white room. The upcoming republican drama, Rookie Agent Rogue (胭脂) has geared up its promotions, holding multiple press conferences in the past several days since it’s airing on the 27th. At one conference, our poor baby girl is badgered by reporters about her silence on weibo when it comes to Kimi’s passing. She basically tells them that each person has their own way of grieving, and hopes that people will respect the dead, giving space for everyone to mourn and accept the tragic news (really appreciate her costars patting her supportively during the interview). They also reveal new trailers and Li Ying’s song for Rouge OST, which is a very slow, slow song.

She sounds so heartbroken, poor thing. I figure she would be pestered by reporters, since she has been working with Kimi recently. I love how she basically told them to screw off, politely of course.
About the drama, the trailer was pretty intense but the scenes changed too quickly for me to understand anything. That last scene though had my jaw dropping. I’m insanely excited about Rouge though, since it’s combining my favourite actress and genre. Come soon, 27th!

I actually love the song ZLY sings for. It’s kinda haunting and feels beautifully sad. I listened the clip several times in surprise…in some parts I don’t even recognize her voice. Actually does ZLY dub herself ? I feel like I’ve always been hearing her voice in all her dramas so far..
I would also love that she picks up a drama project of another era….well still period but not xianxia kind. More like the early republican days.

I think it’s cause the song is flat throughout with no highs and lows, no dynamic at all. I like her song for The Legend of Zu the most, followed by Flower.
I believe for most of her premodern/modern dramas, they keep her original voice, she doesn’t even need to dub. 🙂 I would like to see her in more republican dramas, like The Legend of Fragrance with those nice outfits. Lol.

I am looking forward to this movie. It looks pretty intense and the actors and actresses looks so nice too. I really hope that she will have other projects in the horizon. Does anyone know if there are anymore projects rumoured or not in store for her?

Her movie, New Eternal Wave, should be coming out in December. She recently said that after Princess Agents she will be filming a movie. I want her to do a modern drama, but who knows. She also needs a break.

I am really looking forward to Rouge. From the recent trailers it looks really interesting. I think her character will do some bad things without meaning to.
She must be really sad, it is not easy to lose a friend.

yes looking at the trailer her character will be going through a lot of changes. It looks like a very complex character, feels very real from the trailers. I am always a bit annoyed at the perfect heroines in some cdramas. They are just good at everything and can do no wrong. I think it will be refreshing to see a more realistic depiction.

i think they chose another slow song to fit li ying’s limited range as an singer. lol. she doesn’t have much range.
