Upcoming drama adaptation of Ding Mo’s Memory Lost, the third thriller novel in his detective series (after When A Snail Loves and Love Me If You Dare) has dropped an action-packed teaser! Yang Rong is looking gorgeous, surrounded by her handsome entourage of policemen, led by hero Johnny Bai Yu. Leave it to Yumama to always pair up the right people because these two are sparkling with chemistry just in the stills alone.

Memory Lost follows our male lead as he suffers from amnesia and struggles to find his lost fiancée – a woman confirmed by everyone around him that she does not exist. He’s described as taciturn, as cold as ice, and as calm as a lake at night. His search leads him to a small town where he meets a female detective, a girl full of personality. Similar to him, she’s equally mysterious with a blank background for the last five years. After meeting him, she’s constantly entangled in complicated murder cases, and facing near-death situations. As they confront the lurking dangers, they gradually uncover the secrets to their lost memories.

Yang Rong is so pretty in this. Although the entire teaser goes by so fast that it is done before you know it. Looking forward to a longer trailer soon – would love to get a glimpse of how the characters are portrayed and interact with each other.

Between this and Ding Mo’s When A Snail Falls in Love, I’m falling for this one. Wang Kai and Olivia gave me nothing in their trailer. *pouts*
Of course, the pretty doesn’t hurt!! So glad to see Qi Yi as the villain! He needs more dramas. Preferably with ZLY again. Their height difference!

Yes! Their height difference. They are always using stools in her scenes with taller actors. She’s also using them in Princess Agents since Geng Xin and Shawn are super tall too.

So funny to see Wang Yu be so silly in the last couple of pictures. He was so serious in Singing All Along as Ruby’s older brother, haha.
Memory Lost is my least favorite Ding Mo mystery thriller so I’m not as invested as I am with Snail. Well, it’s also because it’s a Yumama production. =P Johnny still doesn’t remind me of Han Chen in these pics, but I do see the chemistry between him and Yang Rong so that’s a good start for me.
Qi Ji needs more leading roles.

It’s your least favorite?! Wow! From the promos alone, it is my favorite so far. hehe. Yumama knows how to package his stuff, not surprised there.

The story wasn’t as gripping as the other two thrillers and the main leads aren’t as interesting. It took me about three tries before I could finally get into it. Even then there were times when I got really bored, haha.
