Wang Zi Wen and Bosco Wong for Where Winter is Warm, Where Summer is Cool

Loosely translated, I will call it Where Winter is Warm, Where Summer is Cool (何所冬暖 何所夏凉), a novel written by Gu Xi Jue. Wang Zi Wen (When A Snail Falls in Love) and Hong Kong actor Bosco Wong (Destined to Love You) have been announced as the main leads in a story fans described as warm and gentle. It looks like a 2-part story, one about their courtship, and one about their post-marriage life. But apparently they are adding in a car accident causing blindness in our heroine to spice up the story. Lol. Of course, HE takes care of her whole-heartedly throughout her most depressing period. But after she regains her eyesight, he is gone from her life, leaving her an emptiness and yearning for the kind gentleman.

EDIT (7/12): This is the fastest turnaround ever!! Jia Nai Liang wasn’t even in the pool of actors considered! Due to scheduling conflict, Bosco will bow out. Jia Nai Liang will be our male lead instead. Sorry ladies!

Tidbits that I read about the characters, translation below:

Our female lead is described as someone completely rational. If you want cold and aloof, you get cold and aloof. If you want heartless, you get heartless. Because she is in love with you, she can forgive, however, she will not lie to herself. Sometimes being cruel is the only way to make the other person truly let go. Her saying, “When I love someone, I will love that person with all my heart. With both love and hate, I will do it with all my heart.”

Our male lead has loved the heroine secretly for 12 years. He watches her with another man for 6 years, and then watches her loneliness for another 6 years. It’s his specialty and even after so many years, his love hasn’t decreased and when he isn’t satisfied with watching her, he plans his moves strategically – assertive and strong. He treats others coldly and only reserves the gentleness, the patience, and the consideration for her – his one true love.

“Thank-you for letting me love you,” he says.

Gu Xi Jue will be working alongside Chen Qiao Chu on the drama scripts. Filming begins July 21st. Now if they don’t change her hairstyle, I’ll be convinced her stylist is her destroyer. Lol.

I am looking forward to this new drama. Both Bosco Wong and Wang Zi Wen are good actors and they both have charisma. I have seen a lot of TVB series which Bosco was the lead and Zi Wen was very good in Ode To Joy. Both should do well if the script and the production is of quality.

The plot sounds so…all the blindness and leaving lol.. feels cliche! But Bosco!!! I wanna see him on screen! I really liked him on Destined to Love You even though the plot was extremely bad. Yeah someone really needs to change Wang ZiWen’s hairstyle, it makes her look old, it just doesn’t brings out any of her beauty..

Bosco is a solid actor. I like him even after the split with Myolie. They were so cute… Sigh…

NOOOOO this story actually sounds good and sweet for once, and no Bosco? I feel like Bosco so far fits the character description To. A. T. Like no question. I do love Jia Nai Liang…as a tv personality more. Not my fav actor. Like, he just seems so used to comedic scenes and characters that I honestly CAN’T imagine him as the main lead here. Maybe he’ll surprise me, but I’m so disappointed it’s not Bosco… T.T

Very disappointed that Bosco will not be participating in this drama. I have nothing against Jia Nai Liang but the role seems perfect for Bosco and was looking forward to see him in a C-drama. ………….!!!
