HAHHAHA! This is too funny. Both adaptations of Just One Smile is Very Alluring (微微一笑很倾城) are definitely going head-to-head these days. First is posters, now the trailers. Just two days after the drama adaptation dropped its cheesy teaser, the movie version called Love O2O starring Boran Jing and Angelababy also releases its own trailer today. I know the majority of you girls drowned in cheese (HEHE) the other night but I do like the tone of this trailer more. Plateful of cheese is a bit much, even if the delivery guy is Yang Yang. Lol. But then again, this trailer is more wholesome of the entire movie, so comparison is unfair in terms of overall feel.

Love O2O premieres in theaters on August 12th, just 10 days ahead of the drama version. Smart move.

The team was quite smart in placing all the memorable and classic lines from the novel into the trailer. It definitely made the movie seemed really interesting!
So far not really connecting with Boran’s Xiao Nai, and can’t tell still with Angela’s WeiWei. Though still really looking forward to the movie as well!
I would think that the movie might be better in telling the story because they won’t drag it out but then again sometimes they would make the plot go overly fast and unclear. So far the trailer seems convincing!!! Loving their modern outfits~

This trailer is way better than the drama version and is making me want to watch the movie… Hope it won’t be like my sunshine movie that gone really bad 🙁

I wouldn’t say it’s better than the drama since all we’ve seen is a two minute clip…so too early to say anything. But I like the visuals of this one and its overall tone. AB’s red outfit is exactly how I’d imagine her in the game.

Maybe it’s because I read the novel right after they announced the drama leads, but as much as I like Jing Boran he just doesn’t feel like Xiao Nai to me. And the same goes for Angelababy. They included a lot of classic scenes in the trailer, but it was very different from how I imagined them. I think I’ll enjoy the drama more.

I’m liking this way more than the drama version! Although I like YY better, Angelababy seem better as WW. That other clip, although cute, was way too cheesy for me. WW’s voice sounded too cute in the drama version.

Added pictures from the press conference held today! Boran and Angela are so cute together. Loving the uniform on Angela, she is flawless, as always. And those heels!! It’s a good thing I haven’t read the novel, so I’m comparing based on feels. hehe. 😀
A question for novel fans, does our hero really use cheesy lines in the book? Lol.

I think he at least mostly said what was on the trailer so if you can consider that cheesy then yes!
Though I rather find it hyper sweet ~ He’s the cool cold type who doesn’t say that much but when he does, it kinda makes you squeal. Well that’s my impression of him anyway xD His actions speaks more for himself. Like silently getting revenge for his dear wife haha I seriously love him.

The lines in this trailer is not cheesy. Lol. I like the silently getting revenge for his wife bits! I think I just need a normal trailer from the drama version to make me love them. 🙂

I don’t think he and Angela were always just friends. Look at that chemistry and the aura around them. I might be going crazy…
I don’t like how the white hair looks, this is the only negative thing I can say right now.

Surprisingly I think I prefer Yang Yang and ZS. ZS seems to have that wide eyed thing down whenever she is near Nai He and yet has her own confidence. I don’t see that wide eyed thing and getting tongued tied with AB in this trailer.
And YY is pretty much Nai He come to life in my book.
