Well, remember this adaptation franchise of the novel Ghost Blows Out the Candle? NO? How could you not know? Lol. It has two prior movie adaptations; one with Chen Kun and one with Mark Zhao. Now to complete the routine for all upcoming projects, it gets a drama version starring ♥ Jin Dong ♥ (YES! I AM that fond of this man!) and the lovely Joe Chen Qiao En, who is lining up her works to romance the pants off all the men in Nirvana in Fire. LOL!
Candle in the Tomb (网剧鬼吹灯) held a press conference today and I’m surprised they have enough footage for a quick teaser too!

I think everyone knows the story by now, if not, watch one of the movies! In a nutshell, Jin Dong plays Hu Ba Yi (roles previously played by Chen Kun and Mark Zhao), and Qiao En plays Shirley Yang (previously played by Shu Qi and Yao Chen). She was raised in America and returns to China when her father went missing while exploring tombs. Together with Ba Yi and his friend, they recruit a team of brave individuals to search the tombs and unleash the darkness from each one.
In blue is Zhao Da.

Yes!!! Jin Dong, Mr. Sexy is back to dramaland. There isn’t enough Jin Dong in ode to joy. Ms. Chen is so lucky with her co-stars, she already acted alongside most of A-list actors. Now is Jin Dong after Wang Kai. I don’t actually have any favorite drama from her now that i think about it. Except for tHat one really old one with Wallace Huo I watched more than a decade ago.

Jin Dong is only a guest star, hence it’s understandable he doesn’t share much screen time. 🙂
My favorite drama of her is probably still the first one that I watched, Prince turns to Frog. Boy I was addicted to that drama for so long… *hides shyly*

Right, Jin Dong would attend the press con if he were one of the leads. But including Jin Dong in opening theme song is obviously banking on NIF casts chemistry, I don’t have much to say since it’s also from Shandong production.
I searched the drama title and it’s 100% Senorita, i remember getting so addicted to that drama when I was like 10 or something. Wallace Huo is so young in it too.

it was also called, TWINS aka 100% Senorita staring Wallace, Chen Qiao En and Penny Lin. i watched it too. and that one was my fave too back then. ^^

I would watch just for the cast and the trailer looks fine! But noooooooo at the one writing the script..The drama plot was so bad halfway through when they could have just followed the novel!! Especially the 拍卖会 part, its supposed to be at the 2nd half of the novel but they just randomly plop it into the drama which is about book 1.

Chen Qiao En plays way too many 傻白甜 roles haha but her acting is actually pretty decent. She’s likeable because her personality is bubbly and friendly, and she tends to have good chemistry with her co-stars. Even as a fan, I can’t get over how lucky she is LOL
