William Chan and Tina Tang’s The Love of Happiness to air

Finally an air date for this monstrous of a modern drama. It’s scheduled to hit the small screen in two weeks on HNTV. The Love of Happiness features William Chan (The Legend of Zu) and Tina Tang (Legend of the Qing Qiu Fox) with a total of around 76-80 whopping episodes to fill your heart with love, chaos, and more episodes. Lol. The story follows our independent heroine Lu Xiao Nan (Tina Tang) and she’s quite fearful of marriage. She knows it is not simply the union of two individuals, but confronting and solving conflicts together. Moreover, it’s the unification of two families – father and mother-in-laws, etc, hence she doesn’t take marriage lightly. She meets the man of her dream in Kevin (William Chan), a professor at a university, who basically comes with no strings attached (no family on his side…) He radiates warmth and kindness and is able to adjust in any condition e.g throw him in the kitchen and he can cook! The two get married and Kevin reveals that he wants to look for his long-lost family. When they do locate his family, the newlyweds are brought along into the family and Xiao Nan struggles to adapt to the crowded place. But with the help of her steadfast husband, she finds new meaning in family. On the other hand, Kevin learns the truth behind his childhood memory loss.

Short Previews that I Uploaded:

Directed by Liu Jun Jie (My Sunshine) and written by young writer Zhang Jia (Love is A Miracle), The Love of Happiness has around 76-ish episodes and premieres on February 29, 2016. It looks fun but the number of episodes scare me 10 miles away. Lol. It’s also the first time William dubbed his own voice. 🙂

I am quite looking forward to watching this drama although it seems very long. Can’t guarantee that I would even finish it but I will definitely give it a try. The stills look great and they are quite compatible.

Looking forward to this mainly cuz while both leads are pretty underwhelming actors, I rather like them anyways…call it a soft spot. I also have a thing for cool university-professor leads. It’s totally a thing. And they look good together. No high hopes for a good plot though. Purely interested for the pretty and the entertainment, mindless-fluff factor.

That’s a lot of episodes! Why can’t we stick to the typical 30-40ish epi. C-drama? With that being said, Tina strikes a resembles to William’s ex-girlfriend Charlene Choi in some of the pictures, they’re cute! I’m not entirely looking forward to William dubbed his own voice since I think his mando is quite bad, lol.

wowww.. 76-80 episodes… speechless. but well, as long as the story is pretty good.. 76-80 is just numbers, lols. i used to watch Chris Wang and Annie Chen’s inborn pair and finished it. i even re-watched it several times, sooo.. hope this one is pretty good enough to keep me watching it until the end.

aaaaahh, william.. he’s sooo adorable in those pics… aaaahh, im gonna stuck watching this just bcuz of him. lols… i once struggled finishing George Hu and Annie Chen’s drama cuz i disliked the storyline, but for George Hu, i could finish it. So, Wiliam ge.. im coming 😛

Inborn Pair was very cute. Chris and Annie had so much chemistry together that it was hard for me to watch her with George!

I’m liking Tina’s knitted wear in this. It looks refreshing and cute but the number of episodes…I wouldn’t mind if each episode was like 15-20 minutes? Haha.

I’m slightly annoyed that they keep releasing mini previews. But maybe that’s a good idea to hook viewers without giving away too much, which is the problem with all Chinese drama trailers.

    Preview #4 is more emotional.

Is this a remake of My Husband Got a Family, a korean drama? The plot sounds similar! That drama got me hooked! Hopefully this one is good too.

I’m not sure. The baidu page doesn’t say anything about it being a remake. We shall see ~

Yup seems similar. Well the kdrama was a roaring success; ably being poignant & comedic at the same time.

I was going to say that the synopsis sounds like the remake of you who rolled in unexpectedly? There’s even 3 separate OTP couples…hmmm…

    80 episodes!? … Man

Both of the leads look good in the pictures! Perhaps, it’s because William and Tina are both charming individually.

I love Tina nice to see her get a leading role I always feel she is a bit underrated playing the mean girl but I ‘ve had soft spot for her since Zhen Huan
Hopefully William can wipe the slate clean from Legend of Zu cause I really want to forget I mean it was his first cast as the male lead and only Liying was the only salvagable thing from the drama but pretty excited to see this. Looks like an easy to watch drama.
