Looking out the window of my dark, gloomy day, this photoshoot provides a brief respite. And if I like one thing more than ice-cream, it’s probably sisterhood, which is so often mistreated and misrepresented onscreen! Here are the three ladies who performed together at the New Year concert for CCTV, meeting again for a photoshoot where they smile and laugh in the field of green. I tried to guess their age in order and boy was I so wrong! Fountain of youth, someone has it! XD

I would put gigi, ruby then liu tao. Based solely on when I first heard of them. Gigi mid 90s via her music and dating ekin, ruby via princess pearl late 90s and liu tao via semi gods early 00s.

I’m going to go with Ruby first…only because princess pearl seemed like middle school to me, whereas I didn’t get to Gigi until college. Granted, Ruby was like, 16 in Princess Pearl, but I’ll stick with Ruby first since Kappy also implied that the result was surprising! Ruby just turned 40 with a big b-day bash in Taiwan too.
I’m guessing Liu Tao is like, 36 or so. I heard she has young kids, so she’s definitely in her mid-30s, but she was in Princess Pearl 3, which didn’t happen for at least a few years after the first one, and she was probably still young-ish in that, so thinking she’s the youngest one here.

You really make our cold and dreary days in Canada (-20 degrees), a sunnier and brighter one! You did a good posting of lovely pictures of our charming 3 ladies here – so refreshing and cooler with all those greens surrounding them.
As I have written to you last year, our group (of different nationalities, Spanish, Russian, Canadian, etc) only knew of Ruby Lin as we are new to Chinese/Taiwanese entertainment industry . . however we are very delighted that we are starting to know other ladies of great interest here. Gigi Leung and Liu Tao.
Our regrets is that we have not seen the Princess Pearl. Can you please tell us if there is an English sub-titles on it? Any suggested links?
These pictures of the 3 charming ladies here makes our minds wondering on how they look so young with their ages, as Ruby just turned 40, Gigi is 39 and Liu Tao is 37 . . . It seems they look like a fresh college graduate students here – so fun-loving, so free and so full of hope . .

I am Korean fan of ruby from 1998. Princess pearl was so popular in korea at that time. It is one of the best series of ruby and best ancient chinese drama.
you can find eng-sub princess pearl on youtube easily. recommended it so much.

I am still thinking if we can find some DVDs with English sub-titles on it; Princess Pearl TV series is popular, even among non-Chinese speaking friends – and we are thinking a DVD is good for all of us to gather in one place and be huddled together and watch the series together . .

Hi Marilina! I think Princess Pearls both Seasons were fansubbed, so I don’t think there are official DVDs with English Subtitles. Best bet is to download the episodes and then burn them to DVDs. That’s what I do with dramas I really like. 🙂
