Chat Station: 24 Hours, The Greatest Love [Episode 2]

Love when I see the ladies showing their friendship onscreen. Jiang Xin pulling Ady protectively to her when the boys suggests she plays that awful flinging game (I think?). There is no way someone could convince me to be a kite canon. Both ladies are so chillax! And Ady is shippable with everyone…. especially with the opposite team’s Han Geng. When he gives her a plate of food, I was swooning behind the monitor. I’m so easy… this is how they get me! Argg! I need subtitles to understand The Greatest Love. It hasn’t drawn me in yet. Sigh~

The Greatest Love has a very weird editing system. I think that the choppy back to forth scenes between the 6 families is too abrupt and affects the end product a great deal. Also they are giving Huang Xiao Ming waaay too much screen time and we barely get to see Du Chun and Qiao En. Hmmph. They’ll probably give them more screen time later but i am not too fond of this weird editing thing.

Exactly! I really wanted to see a lot of the other sections, except in ep 1 alone, HXM’s section got so much screentime I kind of got bored (just a tad) and stopped watching…I didn’t even get to CQE in ep 1.

Mhm, it’s like HXM’s own show lol. Th editor must be a huuuge HXM fan hehe. Ep 2 is slightly better but we still only see like 10 mins of Du Chun and Qiao En added together…

I’m trying to remember whether or not we saw Joe and her mother in episode 1… nope, can’t think of anything.

Only remembered them being in a car… there isn’t much of them in episode 2 either, same for Du Chun’s segment. I think they invited too many stars on the show, it’s hard to fit in all 6 into 1 episode. HXM’s segment was too much even in the 2nd episode~

Ye true too many chefs spoil the broth. But I believe that in 1.5 hours if they edited it like ‘We Got Married’ where the episode is split evenly between the pairs than it would be easier to follow. I am presuming that this editing might be a tactic of Hunan to get us to sit through the whole episode without skipping any parts to see our favorites. But that is just my guess. Since Qiao En and Du Chun have such little screen time I get so frustrated when HXM’s part comes on and I lose interest lol… Hunan’s editing has once again backfired.

So I just read from the producer that each episode will focus on two or three “main” families. Joe and Du Chun’s families will get more screen time down the line.

This stinks. They are purposely reeling people in.

I checked out both of these show this weekend and I must say I am really enjoying the first two episode of 24 Hours. It has a good pace and I like most of the members so far.The 2 games they played in the 2nd ep is kind of mean, having them wake up in the middle of the night and have to remember that dance. I would be so mad. Also the angry bird game was really scary. I ship Any An and Han Gen too, I hope she comes back for another episode in the future. I thought Xu Zheng was he star holder the whole time, he seem so relaxed at all the missions, off getting a fish spa lol. This show is off to a good start, I’ll definitely keep watching.

I admit I checked out ep 2 because I wanted to know what HXM’s childhood girlfriend looks like lol. I don’t understand the purpose of blurring her out for he first couple of minutes if they were going to show her anyways. Didn’t make sense too me.

If they wake me up in the middle of the night, dancing would be the last thing I do.

I know right?! Aren’t they adorable? keke!!

    Kappy,

This is a tangent — but have you seen any episodes of the new “King Card vs. King Card” show? I watched the first episode and it seemed REALLY bad. I actually thought the games were interesting, and the guests were interesting too — but it seemed sooo fake in terms of the “voting” — give me a break, Kris Wu beats Deng Chao by a single percentage point? He seemed to have a ton of fans there, which suggests he should have had a clear win, but they needed to save Deng Chao some face —- or Deng Chao actually got more votes and they had to make Kris win to save face. Either way, the whole thing just seems so fake — and then Wang Zu Lan getting into the full getup to play Empress Fan Bing Bing and sing a song serenading FBB…soooo plastic feeling!

I have to say though, the one thing the show DID do for me was change my opinions of Lu Han. That kid is actually a really good singer! And his dancing isn’t bad either!

I only watched episode 1 and couldn’t finish, zlidia. It felt very man-made and controlled, if that makes sense. So I’m not following anymore. Lol.

SM artists have to dance well, so I’m not surprised. Precise and in sync, they have to be.
