Oh. I’m feeling old for real now. Beside Zhang Ruo Yun (Wu Xin The Monster Killer, Sparrow), the rest of the fresh faces are born after 1990! Fifteen Years of Waiting for Migratory Birds is a drama adaptation of a novel written by Ying Feng. It is one of the youth dramas produced by Hunan TV to follow Taekwondo Girl. I skimmed through the synopsis and it’s not a happy ending. Someone will die but I won’t tell you who. Some fans call it a gentle kind of death. Maybe they will change the ending for the drama version. Who knows. But the cast is mostly consisted of fresh meat (pretty ones!). =P
Synopsis Translated by Moi (tidbits here and there): Our hero and heroine meet each other when they are fourteen and she has a crush on him for the longest time. However, she does not confess due to her unattractive looks leading to her low self-esteem. And just like, days become months, and months become years. She stays beside him as his best friend for fifteen long years. During those years, various challenges scar them, rendering them feeling “uncleaned” and “unworthy” for each other. (He was arrested after a failed relationship while she has a violent step-brother.) He’s fearful of pursuing her, afraid of losing her if their romance doesn’t work out (valid worry for the youth, methinks). When he finally realizes he loves her, it’s too late because **spoiler: she’s diagnosed with a fatal disease**.

Zhang Ruo Yun is uber hot! Loved him in WuXin. He’s in a lot of upcoming projects 😀 Hopefully his acting continues to develop, and Tang Ren will finally have a new batch of talented artists. (sorry JJF and Gulinazar…you guys are cute, but not my favs).
Either way, looking forward to this 😀 I’ll overlook the melo ending for now until the trailer comes out…then we’ll see.
By the way Zhang Xue Ying was Guo Xiang in Romance of the Condor Heroes; Guo Fu was played by Mao Xiao Tong (such a sweet person, cute, pretty, and a decent actress too – so sweet in RL but still made me HATE her as Guo Fu).

Zhang Xue Ying was also Li En Xiu in Taekwondo Girl *spoiler* She’s the expert youth-master-taekwondo expert from Korea who’s got the legendary dad who also happens to be Chu Yuan’s dad. She’s also supposed to be Bai Cao’s big rival in season 2 (after Ting Yi) and apparently has a crush on Ting Hao. She’s actually pretty nice for a rival.

Idk how to embed an image. But basically to me she looks like a mix of Angelababy and Zhang Hui Wen (He Jiong’s newbie star from Zhi Zi Hua Kai aka Forever Young)….actually she also looks kind of like cute baby Janice Wu (Wu Qian) from Silent Separation and the Bear Grylls show (lol the BG show is like all I’ve actually seen her in…such an impression).
