Boy is she busy! Where have we seen this girl before? Lol. The Legend Liu Shan Men takes place during the Ming Dynasty when the emperor falls ill and the officials compete for power. On top of the food chain, the King’s brother (Alex Fong) and the Prince also desire for the throne. At the same time, a series of murder cases happen in the main capital, forcing Liu Shan Men, rivaling sheriffs to the famous constables in The Four to step in to investigate. Mainly because the head’s son (Raymond Lam) is somehow involved.

- I like how Dilraba looks different from her previous characters, more reserved and quiet. But all in all the costumes are eye-catching and it’s nice to see a different group of actors together. Fresh! Yes, I know, Luo Jin meets Dilraba again. 🙂

😀 I couldn’t stand watching The Four so I stopped too. I LOVE all the main male characters (esp William and Yang Yang and Mao Zi Jun (?)), BUT I couldn’t stand Zhang Junning’s character. I’m alright with her in reality tv, but I’ve never really been a fan of her as an actress…and I liked her even less in The Four. I just could not stand her character.

haha.. i couldnt stand the story. like, it got soooo lame and slow and.. ah.. meh.
perhaps, i’ll give it a try for raymond lam. but i prefer him in modern clothes, haha.

I don’t mind seeing her everywhere! 🙂 She’s pretty but not strikingly beautiful, yet there is something about her that draws me in. Anyway, I never saw her acting, so I’d like to check out one of her new dramas. I’m not that interested in Ancient Sword and Diamond Lovers.
As for this drama, I’m glad to see the pleats in their dresses! I follow Cfensi’s Sinology Sunday series, and a few posts featured the Ming dynasty’s clothing, which caught my attention because of the pleats. I wonder how the pleats were made back then, with hot iron?

I hope this doesn’t air soon because I’m going to stay away from historical dramas for quite some time. BUT I really like what I’ve seen in the trailer. Not too much CG so far.
Raymond Lam’s Mainland projects usually appeal to me more than his TVB ones so hopefully this won’t be disappointing.
Dilraba’s capes are interesting though the green one makes her look rather old.

I like Dilraba’s character here, but I don’t really like her hair…her clothes are fine for the most part, but I can’t get over her tassel-y shoulder pieces. They keep reminding me of old vintage lamp shades…and not in a good way. But I’m definitely looking forward to this. For once Liu Shan Men aren’t the bad guys. Haha.
