Chinese Valentine’s Day is a deadly holiday, all the production teams raced to release new stills and trailers! These are what weren’t covered in the past week.
——> ♦ More trailers for Yun Zhong Ge, set to follow the slot left behind by The Journey of Flowers in two weeks (9.13.15). My question is…do I really want to get into another drama so fast after Hua Qian Gu? WHY DID THEY CAST THE PEOPLE THAT I LIKE! Darn you, Yumama!
——> ♦ Wallace Huo‘s movie, Honey Enemy, with Kwon Sang Woo.
——> ♦ Opening theme song revealed for Nirvana in Fire by Hu Ge.
——> ♦ More stills for Yan Kuan‘s Xin Xiao Shi Yi Lang 2015.
——> ♦ Cozy stills between Wallace Huo and Sandra Ma for When He Comes Close You Eyes. These romantic stills are shot in the States! Did anyone catch them?!!
——> ♦ Le Paon de Nuit (aka Night Peacock) is a Chinese-French co-production, led by Leon Lai, Liu Ye, and Liu Yi Fei. First stills below.
——> ♦ Bolin Chen‘s movie, Bad Guys Always Die (if only this is true), with Son Ye Jin, and Qiao Zhen Yu.
——> ♦ Hawick Lau and Zheng Shuang‘s palace drama, Chronicles of Life, drops new stills.
——> ♦ William Chan in a commercial for Shampoo Rejoice with Li Yi Feng’s leading lady, Zhang Hui Wen. A lot of hair touching in this one!!
——> ♦ Posters for Jia Nai Liang and Li Xiao Lu (his real wife)‘s new drama, A Housewife Detective. Li Zi Feng is in too! The story follows our heroine as she transforms from a simple housewife to a police-woman to solve the mystery behind her husband’s death. She meets Chief Inspector’s son played by Jia Nai Liang.
Huang Ming and Liu En You.
Li Zi Feng.
Coco Lu Yi and Liu Meng Meng.
——> ♦ First Poster for Tang Yan‘s palace drama, Princess Wei Yang (Jin Xiu Wei Yang). I love her costume.
——> ♦ First Character Stills for Chinese Paladin 5 led by Elvis Han and Gulnazar. Oh my, my new crush Elvis does not look good at all. The girls look much prettier! *clicks for bigger resolution*
Joe Cheng and Geng Le.
Gina Jin and Xiao Cai Qi.
——> ♦ Zhao Li Ying‘s The Legend of Zu (or S) is going to air on Qiyi (9.22.15) for VIPs as stated in my compiled list. A new trailer is released below. Go to the Gallery Post for newly released stills. Qiyi is trying to be fancy by claiming to air the drama in 6 seasons, that is merely another word for the span of 6 months (9 episodes per month). Sept – February. I’m hoping that when it airs on tv, the ratings won’t be as affected. Sigh ~ It’s a pioneer project for the new format – air online then tv later. I don’t like it.
——> ♦ If nothing else changes, Eddie Peng is most likely gonna romance his sister’s in law from CP1, Liu Yi Fei, for the movie adaption of Three Lives Three Worlds, Ten Miles of Peach Blossoms.
——> ♦ Fashion drama in the making focusing on the ladies! Cast revealed so far: Liu Tao, Jiang Xin, Andy Yang, Olivia Wang Zi Wen, and Bridgette Jo Ye (baby of the group).
——> ♦ Looks like Korean actor, Kwon Sang Woo, is not done with the Chinese market yet as his name is attached to another novel-to-drama adaptation, North Sea Lover (北海恋人). His leading lady is Creese Li Yi Xuang (The Four) and second male lead goes to Du Jun Ze (Where is The Love). A quick glance of the synopsis sounds a bit stalkerish. He pines after her for seven years after seeing a picture of her. Every year he would send her a short message on her birthday, and every year, she would reply the same: “Who Are You?” Until one day he gathers the courage to pursue her. Okay, not my cup of tea.
——> ♦ Maggie Jiang confirms break-up with Hu Ge. Awww.
——> ♦ The Lost Tomb Movie so far has the following names attached: Boran Jing (as Kylin), Sandra Ma (as Ah Ning), Lu Han (as Wu Xie), Ryan Zheng, and Oho Ou Hao.
——> ♦ In a total unrelated news to this post: Maki Horikita (26) and actor Koji Yamamoto (38) got married a few days ago…. WHAT? This news came as a shock to me ya.
