—–♦ Stills of Mao Ya Ya’s Marriage Diary with Ming Dao, Ying Er, and Ma Tian Yu. First mentioned here, Ming Dao plays the perfect man, Ying Er the not so perfect woman, while Ma Tian Yu and Yoyo Zhang play the scheming exes. It’s funny that in the stills, each cast member looks upset on the phone. Lol.

No time to sleep yet because a second girl is coming this August and he’s stressed somewhat. Not that his family insists on having a boy, he’s just afraid of not raising them well.
—–♦ Suzy is out and Park Min Young from City Hunter and Healer is in! She’ll be starring alongside Zhang Han in the drama adaptation of Braveness of the Ming. Production starts 5/23! Joining them are Shawn Wei (King of Lan Ling, Duke of Mount Deer 2014) and Jeremy Tsui (The Virtuous Queen of Han). It’s a time-traveling show so I wonder how they would change it to pass SARFT.

—–♦ Oops, looks like Wang Li Kun name is no longer attached to campus film, Brother Who Sleeps in the Top Bunk, with Chen Xiao, because at the press conference, a new fresh face was standing next to him. She is Vicky Yu Xin Tian, who was supporting in Female Prime Minister. Nope, I do not remember her face. She reminds me of a younger Rebecca Wang though.
—–♦ First mentioned in a previous batch, it’s now confirmed! Ariel Lin recently gifted Vic Zhou a book series, sneakily confirming their collaboration for Book #2. They have already started filming for Go Lala Go 2, a movie about climbing the social ladder. Remember the film also stars Bolin Chen as a man chasing after Ariel too. Lucky gal, lucky lucky gal! —–♦ Jia Qing and Sean Sun Yi Zhou‘s drama, Battle of the Traitors, reveals first stills. Based on a novel, the story takes place during World War 2, focusing on the Sino-Burmese wars. Don’t they look like models posing for a photoshoot? Will go into details soon in its own post.
—–♦ Zhu Zi Xiao‘s drama, Tea Love, started airing this past friday. The female lead is Zhilin Pan. The premise revolves around making tea and it runs for 80 episodes (BURRR). The trailer looks very dramatic and twisted. I think I will wait for his drama with Zhao Li Ying to come out instead…even though that is equally crazy mofo!! XD

See that Lost Tomb poster? That’s the one I was talking about earlier, the one that pissed off so many novel fans cuz the character placements are all wrong. Yang Yang should be further in front (but it’s good that at least he’s next to Li Yifeng) and Fatty (that’s what he’s called in the novels) should be standing in Tang Yan’s spot.
Anyone who’s read the novels knows that LYF, Yang Yang, and Fatty’s characters are the iron triangle, and I like Tang Yan, but OMG her character’s not even in the first novel and she’s more like an extra in the grand scheme of the series, so why the heck is she front and center??? 🙁
The iron triangle’s dynamic is the ultimate highlight of the entire Lost Tomb series, and magic happens every time they’re together LOL 🙂 I hope they keep the dynamic intact when the series airs and we get to see it, cuz after reading the book it’s what I’m looking forward to most…

PS. Yang Yang looks awesome and badass and the only gripe I have is that his side-swept bangs are too long and heavy – it’s covering half his face FFS! What is it with stylists and covering handsome/beautiful faces with way too long hair??? They did that with William in that new Shushan series and it’s the same thing here with Yang Yang. Like WTF WHY 🙁

The epic bromance is the highlight of the Lost Tomb series, I think. It seems like they may give Tang Yan’s character more screen time but as long as it’s not intrusive then I won’t grumble about it too much. I just hope they don’t make up all these soap-opera love storylines cuz that’ll be AWFUL. The original novels didn’t have romance plots cuz they focused more on the familial/friendship side of things and it’ll be a shame if the drama scriptwriters decide to add in unnecessary stuff…

I think that girl with Chen Xiao played that assistant girl to ZLY that first appeared when she was transferred to the clothes department, right? Like, she was mean at first, then she was won over, then someone (maybe Shen Bi) told her some false rumors, so she took ZLY down, but then maybe in the end she turned good again? Her heart was always good, I think.

Daniel Chan <333 I missed him in dramaland…he and Ariel needs a drama/movie together again as an actual OTP this time.
And speaking of Ariel…that fanmade poster makes me want to marathon ITWY before the Korean version airs this summer. Only watching the Korean because I like Ha Ji Won and Lee Jin Wook. Yet, I feel like they were the perfect choices too.
The BBJX movie feels so different (it's good/bad) meaning it feels refreshing but at the same I don't know how fans of the original drama would feel. And I agree Tony matches her more. Never watched any Shawn's films so I don't know much about him…

i dont think korean version of ITWY would be as same as the Taiwanese version since they like to change here and there.. i stopped watching Fated to love you k-version, and rarely finished watching adaptation drama, i prefer the original except.. hana yori dango and meteor garden. just no for BBF 🙁

I would recommend Under the Hawthorn tree for the scenery, story, and Shawn’s sweet chemistry with Zhou Dong Yu. I did a movie date a while ago, check it out if you need to cleanse (cry) your eyes out. :)\

So thrilled to see the picture of Ma Tian Yu WEARING SOCKS! Yayness! Men in dress shoes and suits without socks — very common among Asian celebrities — are my pet peeve. As well as spiky high platform shoes on the ladies, although I can tolerate the latter better.
I am also quite happy with Jia Qing’s new movie, the theme doesn’t sound typical. But the posters are cringeworthy. The ladies’ bodysuits look like they’re from the future, not WW II.
