AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!! Just before I head to bed, I checked the news and TA-DA! First batch of stills for The Legend of Zu is out!! I don’t think I’m in the mood for sleeping anymore. hee!! First mentioned in December of last year (click for more discussion), I have been eying, practically stalking, this production for the past four months just for today! And they didn’t disappoint! If anything, the stills make me all pumped up now! THEY ARE GORGEOUS. ZHAO LI YING LOOKS PERFECT FROM HEAD TO TOE! Thanks stylists!
I apologize beforehand if I sound twelve in this post. I can’t help my fangirling heart. ❤❤❤❤
Synopsis (for now): Based on the adventurous novels, The Gods and Demons of Zu Mountain, written by Huan Zhu Lou Zhu, The Legend of Zu follows the students of Kunlun Sect from generation to generation as they fight evil (like spirits and demons) and maintain good. The main evil force is popularly known as the Blood Demon and its spirit has the ability to inhabit another body, making him harder to eliminate. I think in this version, the leader of Kunlun sect places the spirit in William’s body so that he can learn to suppress the devil himself while being mentored as a student at the Kunlun mountains.
Ying Ying looks like a goddess. EEEEEEEEE!!! She plays two characters – the good one is the dead fiancée of William Chan. The evil one is Nicky Wu (another big bad)’s daughter…but she falls for William. Awwww BEST LOVE STORY EVER. BAD GIRL – GOOD BOY!! =D
OTP together. 🙂
With other people. Li Ying with new actor, Roy Wang.
Oh….Mister. As Kunlun’s big brother (Gege), are you gonna woo all the girls?!! He is here with Liu Si Tong.
Unsure who she is.
Directed by Ricky Wong (The Magic Blade, Incisive Great Teacher, The Bride with White Hair) and co-written by Ma Yan (The Twins’ Code) and Li Jing Liang, The Legend of Zu is slated to be 50 episodes. Nicky Wu and Liu Xiao Feng collaborate as co-producers.
