Korean actor, Lee Jun Ki, and Chinese actress, Zhou Dong Yu, have been cast in an upcoming Stanley Kwan’s film, Under the Sicily Sun. I’m actually very excited about Diamond Lover! Rain reminds me of Wallace Huo (in the sexy/hotness department) so I can see him having some awesome chemistry with Tang Yan. He’s receiving 5 million bucks for this and it boosts his already humongous Hallyu status, but I just hope its good. There’s nothing about the premise other than he owns the biggest diamond company in the world and love changes his life – which, ummmm… yea, that’s every drama ever! They’ll be shooting december, so I hope its out mid next year.
P.s. I kinda like the Tang Yan hair. She looks more mature unlike the elementary school look she had in Perfect Couple. But maybe that’s just me 😛

Since the last time I wrote about Diamond Lover, still nothing solid has been released about the synopsis. Tskk Tskk. The paycheck is an overkill to me. Korean actors make more money in China than in their own homeland.
You like Tang Yan’s hair in You’re My Sunshine? They make me angry cause she’s such a pretty girl. Wallace looks handsome and then I turn and see the various mop styles on Tang Yan. Lol.

Tang Yang’s (Mosheng) character goes to 3 major hair changes, it’s just that the ugly hair happens at the pivotal part of the story.
MoSheng decided to get a hair cut at a salon where her coworker mentioned. Since she recently moved back to China & isn’t familiar with the area yet, she decided to get it cut there. Long story short, the stylist see MoSheng reaction afterward & tells her she doesn’t have to pay for the service (So, “Yes,” the hair is suppose to look ugly). Even the male lead (YiChen) was bother by the new hair cut and tells her to grow her hair long. It’s actually cute later on when MoSheng’s hair grow long. She goes to bed with her hair messy and wet. YiChen ends up blow drying her hair and then lectures her at the same time for being so careless. She tells him since he wanted her hair long he has to take responsibility.
Gui Gui and Dylan Kuo together in a drama? This is news to me. I like both of them separately, but together? I’ll have to wait and see before I judge. They just…OK …. I’ll just wait and see first.
Also, where is Bosco Wong’s abs?

The promotion of GG and Dylan’s drama is pretty low key and appears to have less investment in terms of quality and filming locations.

THIS TRUTH! Preach it, sister! I always say that Chinese actors/actresses are WAY. TOO. THIN. but it always feels like I’m in the minority. Glad to see I’m not alone! FFS when looking at them reminds me of anatomy specimens, then it’s too damn skinny to be healthy. It literally makes me wince every time.
PFFFT, no way in hell do Fan Bingbing and that other chick pass for 14 year olds. LOL yeah right. And it looks like they’re wearing push-up bras (or stuffing, etc.) under their costumes to make their breasts look bigger. They should’ve gone with actual teenage girls for that scene but I suppose that’s 2 extra actress salaries, so skimp while they can, right?

Definitely agreed about Luo Jin. I didn’t like him at first either, but he won me over in Beauties of the Emperor (lousy lousy drama, though!) But I don’t have high hopes about his character here since Rain has the biggest bucks/attention from the sponsors and investors. =/

I get your anger and I totally agree with you! It’s a ridiculous amount of money for a role like this. He is so overpaid it’s unjust. How disappointing to see Cdrama studio bosses cream themselves over foreign actors while shafting their own. Disgusting.
