Synopsis: Based of off Gu Man’s very popular internet novel, the story tells of a kind hearted young girl who works at a big conglomerate. However one of her weaknesses is eating, she loves to eat, and so upon discovering this her boss decides to intentionally fatten her up; she just so happens to share the same blood type as his sister, and thus has the motive of making her the blood donor. Hence comedy ensues as she melts his heart with her exceptional appetite and her cute charm. [Credit: MyDramaList]

    gotta say, zhao li ying is spot on in her portrayal but zhang han’s performance…i don’t buy it. its kinda creepy – the window thing or maybe its because i don’t understand the context behind him watching and eating with her?

    Thanks for sharing this Kappy. I’m actually really enjoying this series so far (watch 2 epi thus far). Zhao Li Ying is very cute and I think she suits the role of shan shan very well.

    To Frea:
    As for the window thingy, in the context of the series, Zhang Han’s character did say to her in Epi 1 the first time she was outside that it was a restricted area and she shouldn’t be out there but since she did not go through the 3 day training program (since she was hired because she was a potential blood donar, lolz…) she didn’t know she couldn’t be there. Then when everyone started gawking at her when she started getting the lunch boxes, she felt that was the only safe place to eat peacefully, haha….

    I think at that point Frea, he had started becoming amused by her/finding himself enjoying watching her simple joy. He didn’t want to call her out and then frighten her away. So he just ate with her trying to see how she was able to obtain that simple joy. My own interpretation.

    I find it creepy too frea!! Just because its zhang han, some folks dont find it creepy. If it was an ugly guy, everyone would be screaming bloody Mary.

    Zhang Han character is exactly the same as his other portrayals in other dramas. No depth or differentiation at all. Im getting bored of seeing his face every where!!

    Shan Shan is very cute and pretty, I don’t know why everyone in the drama says she’s ordinary aside from her kindness and appetite. Is she supposed to be plain in the original story? ZLY is easily the prettiest actress in the cast, including the supposedly sexy CPA in her division.

    Just want to add that I love the style choices in this drama: from the clothes to the interior decor to the scenery. It’s so youthful and vibrant!

      millie, it’s the blindness purposely placed in dramas, even when the girl is the most beautiful, she’s deemed as ugly so that when the prince falls for her, it’s an ugly duckling story. i don’t think shan shan is pretty in the book, but she’s as cute as a girl could be!

      me too! i love the clothing on shan shan….. and her hairstyles are great, except for the eyebrows. LOL

          yeah… when i watch maybe arround 1-5 first episode the end every episode no continue at the next episode. So i feel weird. And check for this drama and know about that feel so sad. but hope they dont cut for the rest episode.

    Wanna ask, any news of an OST for this series or even know where we can find full versions of the theme song and some of the sub-theme songs?

    Have you been keeping up with this series? I am thoroughly enjoying it so far. A really cute and heart-warming series. LY is the perfect shan shan and the things that she wears are very cute too. But I really LOVE LOVE LOVE some of ZH’s fashion choices, it makes him look really sauve. Especially some of his coats and suits, hmmm…dreamy. All I can say is, if I was a man I’d be jotting down and notting some fashion tips from the series, haha……

        The songs are quite pleasant in this one.

        ZLY is killing it in this role! I knew she would have no problem playing Shan Shan. But I fail to feel their chemistry together as a couple…. It felt disconnected to me.

      Hey Nhube, unfortunately, no, I haven’t been watching anything. Only encoding and uploading videos because I literally have no time for relaxation. Taking my board soon and I still have 2 weeks of clinical rotation left. Busy busy busy!

      But yep, from the pictures, my Li Ying PWNS the role! Wooohooot!!

      But I did collect 3 of the songs in full version and HQ, which I’ll post in a bit. Of course, who’s always on top of her game despite only getting 4 hours of sleep everyday. =]
