both dramas fell flat for me. too much talking and not a lot of action. hope some of you enjoyed them more than i did. still in a slump for dramas. =(

    Goodness, both fell flat for you? MOZU, I’d understand. I’m kinda disappointed too. But Alice no Toge was pretty darn good, esp the last episode! Yours is the first negative review I’ve seen the whole season! What was it that you didn’t like? D: It was really an action drama to begin with though. Maybe because I was watching it without expectations in the first place. Did you watch any other Jdramas this season? I esp love Border and Bitter Blood!

    Btw, Kap, I saw your tweet on Black Butler the other day. I found subs, if you’re interested? I dont think this would be the Google translate one, though I’ve not watched it yet. Would you happen to be going through with the Bitter Blood post? I saw it, but you were listing 720 versions, while I downloaded only the 480 ver.

      yea….they did. with mozu, there was too many repeat scenes. its as if the writers treat us as dummy viewers or something. so many brooding scenes to literally pass time. i can’t believe im the only one who saw the twist coming…i didn’t guess the gender right persee but i was like what if it’s….potential spoilers* two-person thing. lol. i could be the next detective.

      alice no toge didn’t go as dark as i would like it too. juri could have done more with her acting ability. i wanted her to go down that road but she was so….kind with her revenge? LOL. sorry im evil. (example: this post.) i still haven’t watched the finale!

      i tried one episode of border a few weeks ago and the 1st episode left me…bland. maybe because the suspense of finding the killer is no longer there. finding the evidence is less fun. lol. does it get border?

      nope bitter blood….is that about vampires?

        LOL. Bitter Blood is a detective comedy. NGL, watched it because of Satoh Takeru, but it turned out pretty good. It’s about a pair of father and son who got paired together, but they arent on the best terms. Pretty predictable, but it’s a light hearted comedy. Kap has the synopsis in the drafts for it!

        Your ‘border’ comment… I read it twice to get it. 😛 The killer as in the one who shot Oguri Shun’s character? That isn’t the main point of the drama though. But each to her own, I guess. It wasnt the best ending for a drama, but it’s a realistic and thought-provoking one, compared to the usual happy ending.

        I feel like this post isnt gonna reach 20, man.

          no, not the one who shot oguri but the general narrative of the story, as in the style of looking for evidence when we already know the culprit of each case loses some suspenseful element.

      Kxyz, is it the same one on subscene? We need to make sure it’s understandable before we post. I won’t have time to watch anything until the weekend though.

        Nope, not the one on subscene. I’ll… create a draft post and post the link there. Still hasnt watched it yet, but it should be good enough. Source seems pretty reliable.

        I’m going travelling in a few days, so I’ll see how it goes. If I manage to upload all I have within these few days, I’ll post them up. Last episode will have to wait though, for at least a week. If not, I’ll post everything when I’m done travelling.

    Thanks! Liked the first ep of Alice but lost interest after 2nd/3rd ep. Like frea said it didn’t go as dark as I liked/hoped. Watched BORDER but don’t know how I feel about the end. Love the music used in the drama though.

    Thanks! Alice no toge is kinda so-so at first but I don’t know why I still want to keep watching it, but since episode 07 or so, it has become more and more interesting. But yes, I do wish it is darker than this. And I love the suspense building in episode 10 even though we can guess who that person is. And I have been waiting for the ost so thanks again!!

    I love Alice’s soundtrack esp Myosotis! I didn’t find it boring even at first episode, I was instantly hooked, I love how they branch it out from 4 original suspects all the way to the only who has kept quiet all those years. I also love the twist! Must-watch revenge drama!
