Formerly known as The Glass Slipper, Love & Life & Lie stars popular period actor, Chen Xiao, and new film darling, Zhou Dong Yu, in their first modern drama. Yep! I like this pairing. He looks like an ancient vampire while she’s the kind sweetheart from his childhood. If you remember, they were paired up together in The Palace, while Chen’s beloved leading lady, Zhao Li Ying, played the scheming palace maid who rose and fell from power just as quickly.
Zhou Dong Yu plays a poor heroine who gets entangled in the inheritance fights in the Ji household. Chen Xiao plays the manager of a bank, who manipulates the heroine’s feelings to further his means. However, her kindness and *spoiler: pregnancy* changed him. To remain in the game for power, tragedy befalls the pair. I read the spoilers and hopefully…it’s not that sad!

OooOoohh…. I’ve been hankering for a good c-drama now, provided it doesn’t get too makjang or tragic.
ZDY doesn’t look old enough to be in a wedding dress, but she and the male lead look like a good match… and oh lord she’s so tiny… the set must have a large supply of blocks to suit varying situations…
How long is this going to be? One of them 50-episode shows? I hope not… They don’t keep my attention span for that long… and oooohh I want to know the spoilers now… any links?

It’s planning to be 45 episodes. The story is based on a novel so it may or may not stay the same, like other tv adaptations.
