EEEEEEk!! After viewing the second trailer, I’m pumped for this drama! Because of four things I see.
Check out the HQ trailer below and be amazed!
- First, we see that Joo Woo’s character, Lee Kang To, actually isn’t a hero to begin with. He works as a Japanese officer against his family’s wishes, hence the rich clothes and special privileges. That means we get to see his transformation into a hero and what forces that change (death? oh god, think positive, Alice)! This is better than I imagined. As for Shin Hyun Joon, he plays Kang San, Kang To’s elder brother, and it looks like we’ll have more than one hero.
- Our heroine is NOT a nurse! Thank heavens, I’m tired of vase ladies, tending wounds with misty eyes. Kick some butts, get my drift? Park Ki Woong wielding a sword. Weeeeeeee~~
- Joo Won singing and DANCING on stage! You know he’s the cutest thing when he’s performing. That is all.
- Maybe because Kdramas don’t usually focus on this time period, but the tone of the trailer reminds me of Chinese period dramas. Which is a plus point, so yay!

Yes, it does remind one of Chinese period dramas n not the joseon era. Will you be recapping this one?

I agree w/ those “four things” you mentioned. I will definitely watch this. Remind me of those Chinese/Taiwanese dramas I’ve watched.

Me too!! I’m mostly excited for this drama for all the reasons you stated.
After watching Okjagyo brothers, i like Joo Won and after watching “My daughter is flower too”, i find Jin Se Yeon (the female lead) cute and charming. Park Ki Woong from the musical is just plain LOVE, he’s so charismatic.
The time setting is interesting, it does remind me of some c-dramas i’ve watched but nonetheless i’m still excited for it. I’m trying to lower down my expectations though just because… i’m afraid i’ll be disappointed later on. I am liking the relationship between our main lead, it seems like a very bad “enemy” kind of feel, i don’t know how will it change later on but definitely interesting.

Oh Caroline! Trust me when I say I remember all the lovely people at loveseulki, the place I stalked every day during high school years. Oh, those good old times. I missed the site and you guys.
I like the lead girl so far, she looks like a tough cookie. We need more of them! 😉
As for Joo Won, I love him ever since he went on Happy Together (to promote Baker King) and showed off his endearing performance of JYP’s song “Honey”. He’s as cute as a bunny, with dimples no less, and manners to handle the elders too. Wee ~~

I miss loveseulki and illustrious forum. I still lurk around soompi mostly around drama discussion threads but i’m more active being anoymous most of the time, hahaha.
Joo Won seems like a dork, Jin Se Yeon’s face is just my type, hahaha. She got a bit of babyfat on her cheeks and she’s 93er.. so young. I feel so old by looking at all these new idols.. not that i keep track of.
I’m still more of a kdrama person than a kpop person. and i’m graduating in about 3 weeks later T_T OH the horror of jobhunting…
