Alice, so far its been goin quite well but there seems to be a dramatic folding of events so am bracing myself for the draggy scenes. I'm waiting for ep 20 and it looks like one of the "big" events have begun to explode and will cause another one soon and i can see the situation being dragged out over the next 30 eps, as is typical. 
There's the ex girlfriend who just wont go away/give up and tries everything to get the guy and break up his relationship – she has already started to annoy me. I also for see a lot of crying , i hope they keep it to a minimum cos i am over the whole crying business and i always skip such scenes.

Fingers crossed, they wont let us down but will navigate through these treacherous waters/plotlines gracefully

Annette, one situation drags another and another = 30 episodes?! Crying is not my thing these days but shedding some worthy (as if!) tears could be helpful. To be honest, I never thought the ajumma from Queen Seon Duk would land herself a lead role. I was under the impression that she was old. Turned out she's only 31!

I'm leaning towards her sister's story with an older man. I hope it's palpable. The actor is funny in real life.

Mee too! I do like Ji Hyun Woo in this drama, i have never seen him in any drama before but after this one i might look for other dramas he did. I like his character, not all the time, but for the most part he alright. I like how his relationship with Joo Young started, and when he was mad – hold on, i think you have not watched that far so i might be putting spoilers. I'll wait till you catch up.

Eps 21 and 22 just came out so subs will be out maybe in 3 or 4 days. Subs for 20 came out today and just about t watch that ep now

 Annette, just watched ep 20..really had me wondering what's the fuss when Woo bin finds out about joo mi..both men(cousins) fell for the sisters..it's not like they're related to each other..i had once a relationship like that..(haha..confessions)so WTH?

yes, Seo Young Hee was the foster mother there..who took care of QSD when she was young..it was a mother role..so Alice and I thought she was older..

OMG you guys!!!! I didn't realize she was the ahjumma in QSD! When i realized who you were referring to, i didn't think she was the same person so i googled and it was her! She looked so different in QSD to now that i didn't make the connection. I could tell in QSD that she was young 

I also like KSE but she doesn't seem to have grown that far from her character in BOF, a little on the immature side. I haven't seen the other dramas she did so it could be that this role called for her to act like that. (Although her acting is way better than Park Shin Hye, its natural not forced.)
It could be she's acting like that so we can see the age/maturity level difference between her and Ryu Jin. She keeps calling him ahjussi and he gets mad! lol! he does seem really older than her – wow! I just googled and he is 39!!!! And she is only 22!!!!!! YIKES!! In the drama she plays a 26 year old.

Joo young is definitely the hardest hit here..i mean,Joo mi can still go along with that age gap thing..but JY is another story because she is divorced and a mother on top of that..my heart went out to her really..let alone exploding the "bomb" of their well hidden secret..The granny really loves JM so much she swallowed all her pride,so as not to ruin her happiness..

You know when i watched ep 20, i was like..OMG, woo bin's mom resented the fact that her son is dating a divorcee..what if she learns the truth, that she's the daughter of a woman she hated so much…well, im like trying to figure the next 30 episodes, what will unfold..what other scenarios the writers would come up with to make this story really exciting..let me guess..it will be full of resentments,hatred,fights & arguments…oh well..

that annoying ex gf plays innocent,of course she wouldn't tell them of her betrayal..she's getting into my nerves..i really hate her face.(for real).haha..when she's mad,she looks like mentally insane..

LOL! IKR! She does look like she's insane & Woo Bin's sis too, the way she looks down on Joo Young & criticizes the way she looks when she herself is no looker – i remember reading a comment a viewer made about her having a weird mouth & its true even the crazy ex does too.

I can't even begin to imagine what Woo Bin's mother's goin to do when that bomb explodes – that woman would kill someone! Wouldn't be surprised if they made her go insane, even Woo Bin's father, who i thought wud be more understanding/cool about it, loses it when he learns about Joo Young.

I know the grandma did it cos she loves Joo Mi but do you think they'll understand that – especially that crazy father of  Woo Jin – that old man will totally flip. I also see Woo Jin turning on Joo Mi, although i hope it doesn't happen. I would really hate it if later on Woo Bin decides its too hard & tells Joo Young they should break up – i hate it when they do that in dramas, its like you didn't know things were goin to turn out like that?

I'm also waiting for Cha Noh's father to find out that that crazy woman is not pregnant! That is one messed up lady i tell ya

Hahaha! Tessa i know what you mean, i was hiding my face in my hands cos that was just intense! And to think this is only the beginning – just imagine how bad it'll get when the secret about their mother is revealed! Now that is goin to be this times a million cos that old man is scary as hell, and Woo Bin's mother dislikes that woman to the point of hatred.
I think i understand why the grandmother is against it too cos she already knows that its bad enough Joo Mi got married with that secret and not to add on Joo Young will multiply the effects.

I started to watch ep 23 but most of part one is not subbed, it looks like Woo Bin's mother is goin around telling people she wants the ex girlfriend to be her daughter inlaw. See, i don't get it with these mothers, how do you force a girl on your son when he clearly doesn't want her (does his mother know about what happened between them in America)? On the part of the ex-gf i know she's insane so no surprises she's clinging onto Woo Bin. Don't you just hate it everytime she calls Joo Young – AT WORK of all places – talking about her private issues. She's so unprofessional, seriously i hope the ending for this girl is very horrible – and the writers better not let her and Woo Bin get together even for a second cos i will drop this drama

I really loved the scene when Cha Noh's father and his mother found out that woman wasn't pregnant, now that's one pathetic individual. I think this means they're goin to bring the ex husband into the triangle since he's gotten rid of that lunatic (knowing how crazy she is i think she wont go anywhere). BTW did you know that Chah Noh's father and that crazy woman got married? I wonder how i missed that one, i saw them taking pictures in wedding clothes and she had in earlier eps said that she only wanted to take pictures in the wedding dress so i assumed they didn't actually get married.

ROFL!!!! It sure is "a thousand insults and assaults" too cos Joo Young keeps on getting attacked. And as for Lunatic! Hahaha! I think its very appropriate cos i think that woman has crossed the line beyond pride and completely gone over to lunacy that's why she doesn't think straight. If she did she would realize that what she's doing is actually pushing Woo Bin away, i think cos she has the mother's backing she thinks she's got it made. Does she really think Woo Bin will be with her just cos his mother says so – or is that how it works in Korean society, if parents say they want you to marry a certain person then you have no choice but to obey? Do you know? Cos am trying to understand her twisted thinking.

I LOVE those moments when Woo Bin shuts her down and shows that he doesn't give a crap about her. I think that's what makes her so mad and she keeps rubbing it in Joo Young's face about the mother not liking her. She's angry that Joo Young's getting all the affection if not even more because of her actions even though she's cozying up to the mother – the more she forces the situation the more Woo Bin's turning to Joo Young.

I'm starting to get annoyed with Cha Noh's dad, he's such a cow. How the heck does he threaten Joo Young when he was the one who betrayed her – not once – and caused the marriage to break down. His ending should also be horrible together with his wife and mother!

Don't you just like that boy who's been following Joo Mi when she goes out to exercise? I think he's adorable and would have loved to see more of him. I am getting a little irritated with Joo Mi always what Woo Jin says even though she doesn't want to – like when he called her to come back and one ep he told her to change. She used to stand up to him but why is she giving to me? That man is just so narrow minded and i think he's grown understand his influence of his father. If i was Joo Young i would not stand for his behavior – especially that scene he was accusing her of goin to exercise to meet that boy – i would have walked out the door slamming it behind me. What get's me so much is him wanting her to change without he himself making any concession.

BTW the exgf, was she two timing Woo Bin the whole time or was it just that one time he saw them? I don't remember what Woo Bin said happened

whoa Annette,You're back in the game! what should i answer first? ok,ATK: i am soo guilty.. i have watched until ep 23rd..i am so bad…sorry bout that! i have 5 dramas in my hands these days..Vampire P, hello,my teacher(2005),FBRS,city hall & ATK i have abandoned for a while..i didn't mean to i swear..haha! im kinda hooked to city hall i forgot others craving for my attention especially ATK..i feel like laughing these days so i stick to CH for a while,cannot stop till i finish it..don't wanna laugh during CH..and then cry & get nervous when i switch to ATK..if you know why i mean..wanna laugh laugh laugh first..then nervous nervous nervous..hahahaha!

Well, as for CityHall, it's like Best love in a DAEMUL scenario and Scent of a woman all rolled into one! hahaha!(at least for the first few episodes,not the dying scenes) im in ep 11th now..kim sun ah,as always, never cease to amaze me..her antics & acting are natural thing for her..And our love Dokgojin..my gawdd! was he gorgeous ever?know what,he can always compete side by side with those young actors..so dokgojin! i have seen a few familiar charactrs, her boss in SOW..still as mean..hehe..and our prosecutor in city hunter..hmm not as good looking as he was in Chunter.

what about "Me too flower", is that a romantic comedy? i really wish..because ATK takes the cake in summoning my nerves..=)

As for CH i don't think i slept at all cos it was that good! And i don't think those young actors come close to dokgojin at all – maybe i feel that way cos i prefer manly men than pretty/feminine looking boys – dokgojin has nothin to worry about! I like Kim sun ah and that's why i watched this drama and she did not disappoint. I think i might like this one more than My lovely Sam Soon.
When i saw the prosecutor in CH i thought the same thing, when i saw him in City Hunter i was like Woah! Yeah the boss is also mean in here – actually he's meaner! lol! Did you watch the scene where he and his colleagues got beat up by their wives! lol! Soo funny!

And yes Me too, flower is a romcom with some laugh out loud moments. It light and silly and that's why am watchin it, its like therapy after watchin ATK or such melodramas. If you have time give it a try, its not too bad

Tessa!!!!!! Its good to see you back. So sorry to hear you were sick, am glad you're all better now. I had finals and as i am quite the procrastinator, i left everything to the last minute so i had to cram a lot of things in a short time – not pretty at all! My last final was on Friday morning – math exam at 8am. After that i spent the rest of the time catching up with the dramas and of course sleep

I just watched ep 33 and the motherload of all bombs is about to drop – as i was watching the previews i was thinking ish has hit the fan! I think am going to watch ep 34 with one eye open and through my fingers at that!

Ditto about WB's mother, she is seriously ticking me off. I don't like the way she disrespects the grandmother who is older tat her. You'd think a person like would know you're supposed to respect elders – especially the scene where she confronts the grandmother about keeping the secret. Yes the grandmother did not make the best choice – it was at the time but in hindsight it wasn't – and she has every right to be angry but does not mean she can speak to grandmother like that. And then she goes to attack JY like that – its funny the people who make themselves out to be classy turn out to be the savages/lower class by their behaviour

This series highlights the different attitudes and things that Koreans emphasize compared to other cultures. We saw that in the reluctance to accept JY cos JM was already married in the family, and also that JY was a divorcee with a child, how they stress about the bloodline/parents so of course grandmother was never going to forgive the mother who cheated on her son with one of his students – even in liberal societies that is still a hard pill to swallow, something that cannot be forgiven easily. Am sure as a mother i would react the same way as grandmother did

I was also veery happy the exgf was M.I.A. but alas it was short lived – the sister should have also disappeared. I wish WB's father would leave or threaten to leave his wife if she does not stop with her unbecoming behavior – no wait, actually i want WB to be so mad at his mother never speak to her again, pack his bags and move out. But seriously i think that exgf is mentally ill -its so clear WB does not want her i can even feel the coldness coming from him when she's around but she still forces herself onto him. The joy i get when i see her hurt face every time WB rejects her – even tho WB and JY have broken up am not too sad cos i knw the exgf will never get anywhere with WB. As much as she's close with the mother & sis its all pointless coss WB would never get back with her and he doesn't care about his mother or sister's opinions anyway

I think the fact that JY and WB didn't get married will make them eventually getting married all the more sweeter – or maybe that's what am trying to make myself believe so not to be too sad about them breaking up

I think its great to bring up such topics for public discussion. In a way i do understand the Korean culture – the whole thing of a mother taking in her own daughter as her daughter in law just brings very weird dynamics – like WJ and his sister's connection. He is married to his sister's sister – even i wouldn't be too happy about that

I wanted to hear the verdict before i watch it. I've started watching Fermentation family and its ok, seeing this is the beginning am not too worried, it has room to get better.
