– HAHA! This scene had me rolling on the floor, no one could withstand her glare…she isn’t even glaring! Just not flicking her eyelids. We have seen better glare from Moon right? 😉 Loving Ki Hoon’s fixated eyes on her. Hyo Sun is adorable wearing a Hanbok.
– For someone who prefers quietness, I can totally see why Eun Jo is annoyed with Hyo Sun’s blabbering. The girl just can’t zip those lips! My favorite lines from the two:
Eun Jo: “Are you always this talkative?”
Hyo Sun: *shocked* “How do you know? I’m really talkative!”
Eun Jo: “Your life is not fun. I don’t want to hear it!”
Hyo Sun: “Should I skip and tell stories when I was ten years old? They are more fun!” HAHA!
– Her conversation with Ki Hoon is interesting, she asks him, “Do you want something of off me?” when he persists with the smiling. Confused, he asks her, “Do you only smile if there’s something to take?” This quick exchange gives us another hint to Eun Jo’s past. It seems as though she had been tricked/taken advantage by men, possibly her stepfathers. This is also mentioned in the Episode 1 when her mom thought that something happened to Eun Jo while she was held hostage at the house.
– GAH! I knew it! I’ve been wondering all along about Ki Hoon’s past. He couldn’t be just a temporary employee at the Goo’s wine factory. Here, we witness an additional character, his hyung, Ki Tae. The guy appears a little arrogant punching that charming face! Luckily, Ki Hoon uses the situation to his advantage. If the guy (Ki Tae) refuses to be called “Hyung”, then why should Ki Hoon take his punch quietly? *punches back!* Wooohoo!
– Oi, this part was funny. From the mother’s gentle look to her sweaty face and Eun Jo’s staring competition with the main Ajumma. Ki Hoon is totally into her expression that he kind of blocks out Hyo Sun’s little wave. Aww! The girl’s heart is feeling weird…
– I capped a lot of Hyo Sun’s expressions from this episode, because apparently, they’re hilarious. She’s learning some manners too, knock before you enter!
– Did anyone feel her eyes soften a bit here? I think anyone who hears of those lines coming from their stepfather would be touched, hearing that he refers to them as “family”. The one thing that I don’t want to happen is the death of the stepfather.Instead of focusing on the heated battle between the sisters, can we have a little bonding time for Eun Jo and her father? And the last screen capture SCREAMS ADORABLE! 😀 Oi, Ki Hoon! I CLAIM the avatar!
– And how cute is that? The father is laughing at his sobbing daughter after she is rejected! haha XD For someone who has been receiving love, Hyo Sun shows that she is NOT someone who takes rejection lightly. Maybe it’s the naive age, maybe it’s the budding of something stronger. And I really thought that the guy is the future Taecyeon until she calls her chubby brother, Jung Woo! The words he engraved on the bat is cute too, he totally steals hearts.
– Eun Jo requests for a tutor from her stepfather, and Ki Hoon shows up. Initially, she is reluctant to follow him but Ki Hoon soon proves that he’s more than words. If there’s one thing that people can complain about Eun Jo so far, it is her attitude. She screams at him, “I don’t know how much time I have left, so just teach me!” Because she has been moving for god knows how many times, Eun Jo naturally develops her protective mechanism – she doesn’t want to bond with people knowing that it won’t last long and from previous experiences, being friendly is not an option either. Her mistrust is understandable. Eun Jo has a cold, stubborn exterior, she is one who doesn’t invest/believe in promises/feelings from others. I do wish she wouldn’t be so rude to elders though. And I smile like crazy when she adds “Yo” at the end of her sentence to show respect….Aww!
This is also the one thing that Ki Hoon advances than other characters. He doesn’t force her to do anything, he simply gives her the options and presents it in a convincing way that makes her believe it would happen. Recall their conversation in the dark room. Ki Hoon confesses about his past. He had been a lost child before, and had thorns around him, but it wasn’t until he met the father that he’s become “cooler”. He hopes she would become “cool” too after staying here. I hope that the story wouldn’t contrast Eun Jo and Hyo Sun to definite “black/villain” and “white/protagonist” or else this drama will become another “All About Eve“. I enjoyed the drama, but it didn’t hit the reality aspect.
– DUN DUN DUN! Although the mother is selfish and jumps at every opportunity to fish benefits, I believe she loves her daughter. You can tell that she is about to tell Eun Jo the ULTIMATE good news – she has gotten her marriage certificate, which means they officially belong to a family, and have a permanent shelter. However, our drunk Cinderella likes to clear problems and had to bother the already fed-up Eun Jo about the lies that their mother told earlier. Unintentionally, Eun Jo pushes Hyo Sun, she falls and the unnie receives a slap…. Everyone is shock, will Ki Hoon be able to give Eun Jo her present before he leaves? I have an ill feeling that with Ki Hoon’s departure, she will shut herself up completely… 🙁
