The 3D film, The Taking of Tiger Mountain, is based on the novel, Tracks in the Snowy Forest, written by Chu Po. The story tells the many witty battles in the freezing weather between a group of soldiers and the mountain bandits. But the soldiers have an advantage, their mole successfully infiltrated the bandits’ camp. Lin Gen Xin takes the lead role and Tong Li Ya plays an important woman in his life. The other cast members include TV’s little prince, Chen Xiao, veterans Zhang Han Yu and Hu Dong, and reliable Xie Miao. The cast wrapped up their five-month shooting this past April in Northern China where the temperature is around -30°C. BURRRRR.
