War film Our Time Will Come features Zhou Xun, Eddie Peng, Wallace Huo

What a casting and that is only the tip of the iceberg! In the veteran line-up, we have Tony Leung Ka Fai, Ray Lui, Jiang Wen Li, and Nina Paw! The movie marks the 20th anniversary of Hong Kong’s return to China (after more than a century of British colonial rule) and it follows teacher-turned-guerilla-fighter Zhou Xun during the Japanese occupation of Hong Kong in the 1940s. How the youths struggle and fight in wartime resistance groups.

IQiyi All-Star Carnival Night 2017

I anticipated the whole week for this event until the bomb dropped last night that Li Ying wouldn’t be able to attend because she needed to film an important scene for her movie, Ride the Winds Break the Waves, with Eddie and Deng Chao. Sigh….. Her manager went in her stead and she won Artist of the Year Award. Most of the attendees were Li Ying’s co-stars too! Good thing they have a good variety of stars to reel me back in. heh. The pretty!

Leo Wu Lei and Zhang Yi Shang lead fantasy film Asura

First stills are out for part 1 of an expensive movie trilogy, Asura (阿修罗). The word Asura in many Eastern countries means demigods and the story focuses desires and shows the ultimate meaning of life through the wars between humans and demon beasts. The kings of Desire will be played by three different actors with varying interpretations. They are Leo Wu, Tony Leung Ka Fai, and Carina Lau. After reading all that, are you confused?
