Wu Xiu Bo rises to power as Sima Yi in The Advisors Alliance

Another historical drama to look forward to! First trailer for Wu Xiu Bo‘s epic journey as Sima Yi was released last night. The Advisors Alliance (军师联盟) features a line of solid actors in Liu Tao, Janine Chang, Jerry Li, Zhai Tian Lin, and Yu He Wei.

Wu Xiu Bo, Liu Tao, Janine Chang for The Advisors Alliance

Interesting collaboration between these three actors! A new war drama, tentatively called The Advisors Alliance (or Great strategist Sima Yi 军师联盟), is in the making, this time focusing on the legacy left behind by general Sima Yi (Wu Xiu Bo), often portrayed as the rival and villain in the story against Zhuge Liang from the state of Shu Han during the Three Kingdoms period. He starts out as a timid scholar and slowly morphs into a conniving politician. TVB made a silly time-travel adaptation back in 2012 where Kenneth travels back in time with the name Szema Shun against Raymond Lam’s Zhuge Liang. I had a few laughs from that drama. Lol.
