Wu Jin Yan becomes My Bargain Queen with Lin Geng Xin

My Bargain Queen (我的砍价女王) is an upcoming romcom with the focus on negotiation? I think that’s the word. The synopsis sounds pretty random. Our heroine and her fiancé are set to marry, but he jilts her on their engagement day. With anger and frustration, she directs those emotions on the poor hotel manager, our hero. At that very moment, she notices her talents in negotiating and sets out to open her own negotiating company. Lol. I really don’t see how the connection happened here. XD Naturally, her work puts her in contact frequently with our hero and the two gradually grow closer. But then his business goes awry thanks to business partner’s evil plan, and the ex-fiancé returns as hero’s sister’s boyfriend. 😒

Murder mysteries run amok in To Love with Lin Geng Xin, Gai Yue Xi, and Du Chun

Formerly called Love and Lost, To Love (最初的相遇,最后的别离) is an upcoming suspenseful romance drama starring Lin Geng Xin, Gai Yue Xi, and Du Chun. Adapted from the novel written by Shu Yi. Our hero is now a businessman but he used to work as a anti-narcotics policeman. He decides to go undercover again to find the cause of death of a close friend. During his mission, he meets and becomes intimate with a sassy owner of a cafe, our female lead. Their close relationship triggers jealousy from a close female friend but she isn’t jealous for very long because she, too, is murdered. And the blame is pinned on him. Now we have two murder mysteries. Du Chun is the head in charge of investigating our lovely couple.

Airing 11/19~

Movie Review: Detective Dee: The Four Heavenly Kings (Cmovie, 2018)

Mark Chao, Kenny Lin Gengxin and William Feng Shaofeng reprise their roles as the crime-solving trio from Young Detective Dee: Rise of the Sea Dragon in this sequel, directed by Tsui Hark (who is quickly becoming my favorite Chinese director). Joining them are Sandra Ma (“Oh My General”) and Ethan Ruan (“Legend of Fuyao”) in this mystery involving magicians, sorcery and an Empress eager for power. It’s a fun, summer flick with laughs and plenty of action.
