Li Yi Feng and Chen Xing Xu begin filming for rocket drama The Glory of Youth
A drama about China’s Army Rocket Force led by Li Yi Feng! Joining him, we have Chen Xing Xu, Xiao Yang, Yu Bo, Wu Gang, and Dong Chun Hui. The story follows him and his three friends hurdling through challenges and missions to become recognized soldiers on the force. Directing is Li Lu of In the Name of People and Spy Hunter and Zhang Han Bing of Chen Xiao’s King of The Land War which aired this past August.
With the trend soldiers like that of Yang Yang, Chen Xiao; I feel like most actors want to lead at least one solider drama in their career and most actresses want to be a badass warrior in their own world/harem. Lol.
Movie Review: Animal World (Cmovie, 2018)
Animal World (动物世界) reunites the OTP from “Sparrow”, Li Yi Feng and Zhou Dong Yu, and also features Michael Douglas (Ant-Man) as a mysterious loan shark. Based on a Japanese manga called Kaiji: The Ultimate Gambler, this movie is a live action version of part 1 of the manga about a man forced to participate in a bizarre betting game on board a ship to get out of debt. Despite the frenetic trailers and what appears to be some visual influences from Deadpool, it’s actually more of a drama about how money or a lack of it can challenge people’s morals and motivations.

Li Yi Feng, Gina Jin, Wang Long Zheng begin filming for Fearless Whispers
Indeed a pretty cast. If you like Li Yi Feng in republican spy drama Sparrow of last year, you might be interested in Fearless Whispers, his next drama project also in the republican period. He plays a young police graduate, who is idealistic and righteous, but findd himself cornered by colleagues at work. To make matters worst, he’s caught in the war between the communists and the nationalists, which slowly transforms him into an elite operative. Pretty generic plot for now. Other cast members include Gina Jin, Wang Long Zheng, and Niu Jun Feng.

How’s your New Year so far folks? I’m gonna party all weekend with family and friends. It’s a long weekend for me too since I don’t have work on Monday! YESHHH BABY!! I only managed to compile a few TV stations down below. I’ll try to update more when I’m sober? ^_^
